Where is Edison Mountain? Any bouldering near Moorpark College? Ma'ila
yes there is bouldering over at Edison MTn.. as of today the homeless are calling it Heroin MTN..
give me a couple day's I gotta work in Simi.. i'll take a photo of the bouldering are..

^ I haven't been to Stoney yet mainly because of parking and all the crazy stories of how trashed it is and the drugs and other bad stuff. But this picture helps me want to get out there plus I just bought the Urban Rock book (hopefully most of the money goes to support the efforts).
Yes I'm sure the bad stories are overblown, but I'll find out first hand hopefully today.

Steve... hint. Park across the street on "Old Santa Susana" ....if going north on Topanga take the left turn, just before you get to Stoney. (its the old way to start up Santa Susana pass.....park there, if its to packed on Topanga.
And all the crazy stories you hear about..... ALL TRUE and then some, esp the DRUG part.
if you go there and you see this fella.... RUN AWAY

Went on Fri. Overall not as bad as I was expecting.
Didn't get on routes, but bouldered. Boulders were tagged up, pin scarred, and had chopped bolts. We had a stroller, and it wasn't too hard to get around. When we went, it wasn't to busy so parking was easy.

Steven... glad you had fun.
We have been getting after the "Artist Types" who come out and paint...that goes on well after dark.
the level of that sh#t has gone way down in the last few years. Two people who did a ton of work to clean it up, Justthemaid and Jim "wild man" Wilson don't go the SP anymore so its is slowly returning.
We are working to remedy that.

It would be really cool to re-start up Top Rope Tuesday.
Now that was a blast, go and do like 6-8 climbs in a hour....
Cole, we are breaking in a whole new bunch of young kids, some of them show a ton of potential.... just like you did when you were a pup. Remember when you could not stop thinking about that project, problem??? I remember when I had the hi-stoke factor going on 24/7 ..... well now some of those kids do. I see the cars parked at like 7am.... "time before school" and then back to SP at like 2:30 till dark, then bust out the head lamps.
Pretty hi energy, some of it rubs off on me.
Prolly get the Hot Dog thing going in June, when we have really long days.
