PBDB (probably been done before):

Talk about a guy who has welcomed the World into his home!

This is my Thanksgiving thought this year for some reason, maybe as a new poster to SuperTopo, I am remembering the important moments in Cal.

I just have to say, again (cuz I thanked you repeatedly in '90),
thanks for showing me (via your hospitality) what a multi-cultural and wildy diverse world climbing is (not to mention the trust, welcoming said people into your home).

Todd, you are one of the good ones, Man.

I met Todd once very briefly a few years back. I was on a road trip and eating burritos at a local joint with some friends. He spotted us as climbers and gave us some photo copied sheets with new route topos and offered to let us stay at his place.

We were all really struck by the kindness and generosity that he showed towards some complete strangers.

Thanks Todd!

The man is a legend, and some of it is true.

We met in Moab, and the word helpful just doesn't cover it.

I never went to the ranch, but all my friends did.

What we all really need is for Todd to win the Lotto and buy a place in Foresta. Hell, if I win the lotto, I'll buy him a place in Foresta. I don't want those vagrants (my friends) hanging out all season at MY place...

I took advantage of Todd's hospitality in years past. An ocassional shower and went to a party there. It wasn't until recently that I went out climbing with him.

He is willing to take anyone out from newbie to honemaster. Todd's main concern is that everyone has a good time.

Todd sees the good in everyone. He is the most tolerant person I have ever met.

Just wanted to say that Todd is a great person. Super cool, and a fun guy to climb with. Although Todd has climbed hundreds of routes everywhere, he doesn't spray about it. A real mellow dude.

Went climbing with him and friends the other day, and even though Todd did not get to show us the Previously Unreported Route he had wanted to, he patiently put up TR's on several climbs so we could have fun. A very selfless human being, for sure.

Great guy. Back in the day his open house policy was a radical act of hospitality to climbers everywhere. Amazing.

Todd is the MAN. I can honestly say, he is perhaps the biggest hearted, most gracious human being I've met. He has shared his rope, home, shower and kitchen with a hell of a lot of folks, not to mention the fests he hosts at the Gordon Ranch. And he is a full time dad and husband as well. He has even taken Tucker under his wing.. Andrea is a Saint to put up with him!
Thanks for everything you have given the climbing community, Todd.
If anyone deserves an appreciation thread it's you. Have fun at X-mass Tree Pass this weekend!

Dittos what Tony said.

He really is the Mayor.

Give him a remote area of unclimbed choss and he'll keep squeezing it till it relinquishes a few gems.
