Partaker of the Hippy Lettuce. Purveyor of the picture manipulation, and wearer of the tie dye. The one and only Cosmiccragsman!

With a destroyed knee, and a trashed back, he still hikes and climbs far better then I do.

Cosmic came back to the Valley for Facelift, and met up with his brother and set off to climb Snake Dike. The walk in alone is a pain, and I can't imagine it being easy for Cosmic - he has enough trouble walking without a brace on level ground.

His brother, hasn't climbed in about 30 years. Sounds like an epic in the making....but the epic wasn't theirs.

After an overnight stop, Cosmic and his brother got up the Dike handily. The epic part came on the descent - when Cosmic rescued 4 hikers off the Half Dome cables in the rain. The resulting time and energy burn, meant he ended up having to spend another night out in the woods before coming in to party with us at the Tacofest.

Cosmic and I have climbed a lot, and we always have a blast. We talk about all kinds of topics, and never argue, even though we sometimes don't see things the same way. Always been a great climbing partner and friend. Thanks for being around Cosmic, you give the world some much needed (tie dye) color!

Since Cosmic was out saving some folks, he and I didn't get in our planned climbing this trip. But...he did something really worthwhile instead.

Hey there Dwain. Loved meeting you, friendly and cheerful and one tough Old Fart. Two nights out for Snake Dike might be an all-time record, if anybody's keeping that record book. Some people call you FOOL, probably because they don't know the difference between fool and Jester. Semper farcissimus. Fred.

Good to meet you too Douglas and Vegasclimber; and seeing you again TTR.
