Partaker of the Hippy Lettuce. Purveyor of the picture manipulation, and wearer of the tie dye. The one and only Cosmiccragsman!

With a destroyed knee, and a trashed back, he still hikes and climbs far better then I do.

Cosmic came back to the Valley for Facelift, and met up with his brother and set off to climb Snake Dike. The walk in alone is a pain, and I can't imagine it being easy for Cosmic - he has enough trouble walking without a brace on level ground.

His brother, hasn't climbed in about 30 years. Sounds like an epic in the making....but the epic wasn't theirs.

After an overnight stop, Cosmic and his brother got up the Dike handily. The epic part came on the descent - when Cosmic rescued 4 hikers off the Half Dome cables in the rain. The resulting time and energy burn, meant he ended up having to spend another night out in the woods before coming in to party with us at the Tacofest.

Cosmic and I have climbed a lot, and we always have a blast. We talk about all kinds of topics, and never argue, even though we sometimes don't see things the same way. Always been a great climbing partner and friend. Thanks for being around Cosmic, you give the world some much needed (tie dye) color!

Hey there Dwain. Loved meeting you, friendly and cheerful and one tough Old Fart. Two nights out for Snake Dike might be an all-time record, if anybody's keeping that record book. Some people call you FOOL, probably because they don't know the difference between fool and Jester. Semper farcissimus. Fred.

Dwain is da'man. What an incredible experience to have with his brother (who hadn't climbed in like... 30 years..) Totally persevered in spite of some pretty major physical issues. Sat night I thought he's be down for the count, but Sun morning he strapped on the knee brace and limped out to pick up trash. Really inspiring.

But that T-shirt that he's been wearing since high school ought to be considered a capitol [sic] crime.
In fact, I believe that the only reason he has not been executed for wearing it is that these affairs have the tendency to end up poorly when the firing squad members have to wear blindfolds also!--T.V., in a fit of near-sightedness, so...

Cosmic is one of the FEW people that inspire me. Real climber by all definitions I have for what a 'rock climber' is. When his shoulder doesn't work, he climbs slab with his feet, when his knee is screwed he will climb overhangs. When nothing will work, I bet he will climb walls. Seriously, even though I have not met him, he is awesome! Hope everything is good. LMK if you want Cheburashka to send you some luck!

Whaaal, if CosmicMicroGram's father is truly Samuel Clemens, then ...

obviously, Dwain Twain

The old gentleman was not of literary turn or capacity, but he used to jot down brief paragraphs of plain practical information about the river, and sign them “MARK TWAIN,” and give them to the “New Orleans Picayune.” They related to the stage and condition of the river, and were accurate and valuable; and thus far, they contained no poison. But in speaking of the stage of the river to-day, at a given point, the captain was pretty apt to drop in a little remark about this being the first time he had seen the water so high or so low at that particular point for forty-nine years; and now and then he would mention Island so and so, and follow it, in parentheses, with some such observation as “disappeared in 1807, if I remember rightly.” In these antique interjections lay poison and bitterness for the other old pilots, and they used to chaff the “Mark Twain” paragraphs with unsparing mockery.

Location, location, location.
Mystery, mystery, mystery.

She's changing into her tie-dyed lingerie...

Looks like CC's gonna hopefully get to stay in Vegas, too.

I'll let the rumor mill start grinding and the man can fill you all in as he sees fit.

Topo Gigio, a VW full of tie-dyed clowns, and Wild Stallions couldn't drag me into revealing anything more about this crag than I already have. And I'm not saying anything about his possibilities...which may or may not happen. All in good time.

Best of luck, CC, and it was good of you to think of me and to call JUST AS I WAS WORKING ON THESE SAME SHOTS!!!

The Synch loves tie-dye. Face it.

If they had tie-dye and he wasn't such a mama's boy, JC would've been sporting a cloak of mahy colors.

Mary probably would've thought it too flatlander or too progressive...you know Jewish mountain mammas!

Nazareth seems to me to have been a bit like Mariposa, more condensed, of course, and no ROADHOUSES!

And one dang church, er syagogue, though, that kinda shoots a hole in the comparison.

Well, looka there, no synagogue nor seder doin's.

"Thank you for asking if you might take a picture, mate."The better half following at a respectful distances.Ding a better job of it, even though he had a child in tow, she had dead weight.Sure...I told him I wanted to take a picture of a maniac. No reason for him to be RUDE!

(I meant to tell Dwain tonight about this run-in on the way to El Portal the other night...)

I asked his spouse to apologize. She said he just had a stick up his arse!

It's so GOOD to hear from our most ColorfulCharacter!
