I always thought at least one of you had some real creativity. I really did. (and you know who you are)
A million posts, at least ten thousand threads, and the best you can do to contribute something worth reading is "bump" ?

I like to see what people decide to spend their money on. Very interesting. A form of art. Cash is as much an artistic medium as anything else.
If you wanted to see a great example of wealth on display, the Grand Prix of Abu Dhabi this morning was pretty cool.
I'd be happy living in a travel-trailer down by the river, but that's just me.
I don't know what Limbaugh spends his money on, and I don't care, as long as he earns it honestly (or doesn't get it from the Government).
And he pays a hell of a lot in taxes.

Palin and Limbaugh are stupid. If intelligence and earnings were strongly correlated, Einstein would have been one of the richest people to ever live. Also, Jenna Jameson (who lives here in Scottsdale) is a multi-millionaire. You can Google her name, if you like, to see how her "intelligence" has paid off. Heh.

Lois implies that making lots of money means that you are smart. I don't think that it is possible to disabuse her of this idea, so this will be my only post to this thread.
Just to be clear on my position. This world pays for all kinds of terrible things. Doesn't make the producer smart. Savvy maybe, glamourous maybe, and many other things this world is willing to pay for, such as a pretty face, sexy body, fast feet, a good throwing arm, but that doesn't mean that they are smart.
It is pretty funny that TGT photo bombed this thread.

what is the key to his success. That is the more interesting question. What is the hook or catch which draws people to him?
Ever hear of PT Barnum? He said that there's a sucker born every minute.
Rush is just making a living off the same premise. There are many under the guise of religion that fleece people in the same way. It takes a certain breed of people that can knowingly mislead someones for the sake of a living. He fills a niche feeding off "a sucker every minute" and laughing at them all the way to the bank. He doesn't believe what he says, he enjoys the results of what he says.
Just like you say, not necessarily a smart person. To me he's more like most criminals, just an opportunist.
