Okay Ed, you have us lined up against the wall, names read off-what do you think this is a firing squad. One little paper does not a discredited science make.

Can anyone post a link to the full paper?

Read it and everything I could find last night Wilbeer. Doesn't tell us diddly about the range or method of sampling. I'd like to see a listing of the datings on all samples and how they determined these excavated samples had not seen the light of day for 44,000 years. Now let's talk about you and your ideas of what this future utopia you imagine is going to look like. Give us a quick synopsis of 2040, assuming we are in an age of carbon free energy and the society has been fundamentally reconfigured.

The moss was within 1 meter of the ice, Sumner. The ice is receding at 2 to 3 meters a year.

Let's see the paper and supporting data, not press releases or interviews, before we throw around accusations of lying Norton.

Dang, Anderson, Pay attention. It's well known that global temps during the Holocene have been cooling for thousands of years.

Arctic ice had in increase of 60% Wilbeeer.

60% of what, Macky? Temperature, mass, CO2, duck poop?

If it's just surface area recovered from the dismal low point just measured, a 60% recovery doesn't sound very good.

I've mentioned that before. They just don't understand small numbers and can't even do the math to come up with 60%.

Here's the data. Lets see if any of them can do the math.

They?

Yes Anderson. All predictions are run through the same committee before being released.

Rick, if you actually saw this data, would you rethink your stance?

monolith, allow me to fix your graph.

not sure why you insist on using anything greater than n=2.

after all all those extra data points do is tell the real story and we can't have that MSU to fit what you believe

ante up your criteria, rick! it's actually what scientists do, and whatever the answer, it's what we go with...

About The Chief. I mean, this guy has to be the biggest troll since the infamous Juan De Fuca, whose baits were historic. Let me explain... I understand deniers who parrot the spew they hear on selected media outlets. Heck, that's all they know, and they believe they're right because they hear it from the only people they can trust. But with The Chief, here's a guy who has debated with high-leveled scientists on the subject, and they've proven him wrong at every intersection. He's tried every angle, spending years locked in a saber match, and he continually looses every battle. Now, he's show that he cannot understand the most basic graph, completely lost on the concept of averages. I mean, who can possibly be this dense? My conclusion is that he must be a paid troll; not working for the Navy this time, but instead some right-wing whacko think-tank group intent on spreading misinformation. I know it sounds like looney conspiracy stuff, but I honestly can't come up with another solution that makes any sense. I don't know, perhaps if I were as naive as Forrest Gump, I'd be pretty pissed off too.

It's like watching a clown car.

Chuff is driving.

Rong is in the back trying to pass out beers and drinking whiskey - completely clueless as to where they are headed.

Sketch is next to Rong telling jokes.

Rick is in the passenger seat with the map giving directions.

Every once and a while they pick up a hitch hiker who sits bitch.

Problem is Chuff took too many of rongs beers and is hammered, Sketch is telling bad jokes and nobody is listening and Rick is holding the map upside down. Instead of driving away from the cliff they are headed towards it.

Rong again, Rong. I've served more cooked fish than raw fish.

Pay attention.
