Shouldn't there be a bear in the cartoon? #46, for example? Perhaps skulking behind a tree, spying on proceedings?

Further note: If you plan to arrive before the 22nd, make sure Ken knows. I'm sure there'll be lots of things to do preparing - putting up the big tents is a wonderful team building exercise, and litter stick maintenance repair is out of this world. But it will help Ken if he knows who's available.

Hi Ken,

Sounds Great,

Maybe you should sell the 1,000 stainless steel Kleen Kanteens for filling up with free beer and wine.

HAHAHA ..... just kidding.

Looking forward to the Fest.

Was the drinking from Fern Spring before or after the skull incident?

Both. I got All the Water for a Wall there, once.
Partner was freaked out, until he got thirsty.
Haha.

Captain Kirk,

I think it's probably o.k. I have drank a lot of it myself over the years. I got grossed out by how much toilet paper (6 bags + or -) was found by Way Dicey that was above and just behind that little clear puddle that was the best natural water source in the Valley. Where does that water come from?

Maybe we're just tougher than we thought.
I guard that spring jealously, when I'm around.
I hope others will, too.
It's very beautiful. Well, you know.
I can get lost in its flow, still. Wondrous.
If it kills me, then I'll die. All good.

Get your bike tires 'slimed '. I've never seen so many flat bike tires. A lot of some type of small thorn. When I got back I probably pulled 20 of em out of my flat tire.

I know a gal whose thorn-resistant tubes kept her from getting pregnant. ;^)

Barcus, I should roll in Friday afternoon-ish.

I wanna pick up some trash AND get a couple of routes in.

I may try to show up early Friday. We'll see.

Everybody better treat my homie o.k....he looks like this;

He usually rolls with a badass little pup called Barkley too!

Treat my homies well!

(yeah, he is an official member of the International Heineken Climbing Crew, so he's got that credential also)

Okay! I just booked my flights.

Arriving on Friday, 9/18, early evening
Departing on Monday, 9/28 - early morning

I'll be looking to help Ken & Assciates out pre-Facelift, and get a little climbing in.

As for climbing, I am cool with cragging, partnering up with just another for stuff and would love to get on a long route(here, our mulitpitch is 3, and that's on wandering routes, so I have to say up front I am not experienced with long stuff.). If someone has interest, email me through the site to discuss experience levels and such.

WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!

I do so love California, the sunshine, the countryside, the climbing, the people. Can not wait to be back!

The T-shirts are great! I also will want a guys, because I really don't care for the color green except as it occurs in nature. But, I will wait and see how it looks/fits. I find the women's t-s often don't feel comfy to me. I like a looser fit.

FaceLift warmup and secret training. (Or possibly channeling Dick 'Canman' C.) From below the south summit of the Chief, on Saturday - plus two bags full of gross stuff.
