Shasta areas is nice, Mt Lassen too.

Maybe The East side, Mammoth lakes area.

I assume you want to stay in Cali. If not, Montana, Wyoming?

I've considered those, just not job-able there, for me.

I see you in the East side somewhere...maybe Shasta.

hey there lynne... wow, if you know you've waited long enough, then the good lord will direct your heart... best wishes... hope it goes smooth and that you listen for the right trail, etc...

say, after my life fell apart, i was a displaced person for far too long.... due to many factors beyond my control... BUT---it all worked out good, as to me getting to see my mom and brothes, etc...

so i know that your next trail will work out good, even if it takes a bit to find and settle it... just "listen" good... so if it doesnt go too smooth at first, you will have no doubts...

now, as for me, i never had to wonder or scout where to go (though that mite have been fun) but i am here, due to grandkids, and not sure where i'd go, if i never had them (but my life story is different, and such)... thus--i know this is where i should be, even though there are some other neat spots that i would love more...

so right now--i'm just loving them...

say, best wishes, and keep sharing, as you hit the trail, so we will know how you are fairing...

So would appreciate prayers for my home to sell and God's direction on where to go. Hey, if my home sells I will camp some where til I find a new home. lynnie has learned flexibility.

East side "Rocks" and you can still surf if you are so inclined-On the way home from the meadows today my friend and I remarked how lucky we are to have lived in such a cool place for so many years and still love it - Oh yeah it helps to like winter and not be worried about getting rich!:)

Lynne, are you semi-retiring and doing part time work? The working part may have a big impact on what you choose.

If money is not an issue, you have many options. I don't wanna delve into your personal life, but that would help with the suggestions.

Good for you to move on! You have family everywhere, but don't forget your 'real' family. They still love ya too.

Good on ya, God bless, Lynne!

ok, my family will be fine. I don't know what i need or want to do. I think I have a book or two in me. If not, oh well. I do NOT want to live life in the ordinary way. If I get sick I told the kids to park me under a tree in the middle of nowhere and let me be at peace.

Lynnie will figure out something. :DD

Lynne,

Your courage continues to inspire my wife and me. I'm afraid my advice on this is of minimal value, but I'll offer what's more important -- our prayers.

Would college towns be attractive to you? I'm thinking of the central coast near San Luis Obispo. Although the housing is by no means cheap, it's much cheaper than San Diego County. Cal Poly provides lots of intellectual and musical stimulation, but the area has the unpretentiousness of any agricultural area (there's lots of wineries, particularly near Paso Robles but little snobbery to speak of).

It's about 2 1/2 hours from here (less if the cops aren't looking), so the Ditch would be much closer. Of course if you want water and stone, it's hard to beat the Tahoe area, but I can't speak to the musical scene, cost or snobbery.

Alright, Lynne, Eastide or Nor Cal in the Lassen/Shasta area.
