Yeah, Skully. I know what you mean. Sometimes I think it'd be fun to hunt cobras in India.

I don't how crazy you want to get, but there are some really nice forests and people out here in north carolina and tennessee. I grew up in so cal, moved to santa cruz and now am learning to appreciate the summer rains, forests full of flowers, LACK OF CROWDS, and great climbing and rivers of the south. If you need another nudge, it is frickin cheap compared to CA. 200k and you get a really nice place just outside of most towns. Places I would recommend: Chattanooga, Ashville, Brevard, Bonne and the tiny jewel of Davis, WV. Even if you just want to get away, the blueridge parkway in Fall is gorgeous and makes CA centric folks realize it isn't all about the west coast. Good luck wherever you move and stick through the first year or so. Magically after around a year after a move amazing things have always happened for me...as they are here for me on the South/North Carolina border. Feel free to stop by. We have three extra rooms - something I would never say if I lived in CA!

No advice Lynn, only interest in hearing about your adventures and impressions as you explore the options, since I am faced with the same decisions when I move back to the States in about 3 years. You're really the pioneer forging a new trail here!

Lynne should move in with Werner and Merry. She'd be a great addition to YOSAR, and it's a happening spot.

Thanks for all your comments Dudettes and Dudes :D

Catching some zzzzz's out under the moon tonight. Watching the clouds take on incredible light pulses from the moon as the tide of clouds meet.....north and south say howdy. For real, no joke, a finger crack appears across the heavens. Perfect for my digit size. The air that lives in the heavens decides to turn my new favorite finger crack into a rather large hand jam that crosses from Palomar Mtn to the Pacific Ocean...... Thinking under the night skies about life and direction. Peace, lynnie

Edit: Mighty Hiker, happening spots are worth checking out....be there in a couple weeks. :D
