Chirp- to humor you I will say, that you don't have the mindset to become a chopper.

Sometimes you have to CLIMB the route, and chop simultaneously. At times you may have to use natural anchor placements, it would be Hypocritical to use the same bolts you are removing.

Glad to see your interested though, I have to say.......you were a fine Troll!

Didn't realize those were Long Lifes at Trapper, Kris. That sucks. Such a sad thing to see those bolts next to that crack.

Kev.....sweet TR! Still strokin' that piss water I see.....hahaha!

For beefing up those calves and quads for your next approach to Grey, try a six pack of these....

Are you able to get out to Shuteye during the Labor day time frame? Would be great for you guys to meet Deb.

Loose the tude dude. You will see... I can learn to be just like you. We have some good boldering near the house. I have added bolts with chains on top and will practice pulling them. I will show you my stuff and will support your efforts. Sounds like there are some great routes to chop at a crag near you...

Can I join FECAL? Can I pay my annual dues with some open shuts?

Some ASSWIPES installed open shuts, right in the middle of a long established climb, right where the climbing gets real hard.

What is up with some climbers today?

I can't understand why these f-tards who do this. The rule/ethic is very clear, "never add bolts to climbs".

Simple. No?

Add I find the BEST way to prevent re-drilling in the same hole, is to push in a few "3/8 Bearing, Balls" that steel is way harder than any drill bit known to man.

Ksolem,

I'll ask a buddy about removing long lifes. Worst case a rechargable grinder will cut it right off. I've got access to one and do have a weekend of that sort of work planned at some point so let me know - i'd love to help you out.

Mooch,

Um I'm there every weekend unless I have to perform bolt removal elsewhere.

Mucci,

I can still swage through that hole the tool has a subtle arc to it that isn't visible in the pics

Chipry

Welcome to the dark side of the farce....

Kris,

You could try grinding around the center pin of the Longlife to expose the center pin (after griding/cutting enough to remove the hanger). Then try to grab it with vice grips?

Hey wait a second!! Those shuts which Guy is so generously offerring up as dues are living quite well at the top of our Church Dome route, "Pumping The Nuns," on The Convent.

He had better knott have any funny ideas about using them for currency... :-)

Kev, I'm pretty busy the rest of this summer, but want to spend a chunk up at Courtright next year. Let's go get those Long Life's then. Will FECAL accept a jar full of stainless steel filings as dues??

edit: Yeah Clint, I am envisioning some burly locking plier/funkness set up...
