mrtropy's #2 pic looks like one of the 'Green Church' HS's on the east side.

Doesn't Deep Creek HS still have some kind of amoeba that can cause encephalitis? Keep your head above water...

I was thinking near Lassen for #1.
As for the amoeba it is safer to assume it is
widely spread these days so don't dunk your head!

Here's where Deep Creek Hot Spring first becomes visible on the hike in.
Look in the center of the pic - a far-away shot of the one I posted above.

mrtropy's 2nd pic looks very much like it's in Long Valley (Mammoth area), and I was about to say the one of the two near Lake Crowley.

However, I think the guess would be close but knott quite.

Knott quite, many of the basin and range springs look the same. You can see the Wild Granites from this one.

hey there say, mrtropy... wow, thanks for the really nice pics... nice to look at in real life too... though spots, you really need to take care... (i was meaning as to when we were kids and saw lassen, etc)...

mrtropy, serious on the WG? didn't know that was out there. that's awfully convenient. there's a couple of us knuckleheads that want to hit WG. did you get any routes in there?
