Regular El Jimador's not bad at $20 or so a bottle. A bit less oaked than Patron, but not as smooth straight. Makes excellent Countreau margaritas (as if there were any other kind...) without breaking the bank and is still palatable straight up. For special occasions I'll spurge on Sauza Tres Generaciones which is great straight up, but overkill in a margarita at $35+ per bottle (prefer it to Patron for some reason likely having to do with oak levels). I find it odd that the only liquor I'll drink is tequila, but I'm not complaining as it means I can keep the good stuff around without worry of people wasting it on shots or other silly stuff.

I'll second the vote for Cazadores Anejo. Don Eduardo Anejo is also most excellent.

My newest find. Much better than Patron and less money too. Right up there with Corzo but at a substantial savings.

Send "Jose Cuervo" Ringtone to your Cell
Well its sunday morning
And the sun is shining in my
Eye that is open
And my head is spinning
Was the life of the party
I can't stop grinning
I had to much tequila last night
Jose Cuervo
You are friend of mine
I like to drink you with
A little salt and lime
Did I kiss all the cowboys
Did I shoot out the lights
Did I dance on the bar
Did I start any fights
Now wait a minute
Things don't look to familiar
Who is the cowboy who's sleeping beside me
Well he's awful cute
But how'd I get his shirt on
I had to much tequila last night
Jose Cuervo
You are friend of mine
I like to drink you with
A little salt and lime
Did I kiss all the cowboys
Did I shoot out the lights
Did I dance on the bar
Did I start any fights
All those little shooters
How I love to drink them down
Come on bartender lets have another round
Well the music is playing
And my spirits are high
Tomorrow might be painful
But tonight we're going to fly
Jose Cuervo
You are friend of mine
I like to drink you with
A little salt and lime
Everytime we get together
I sure have a good time
You're my friend, you're the best
Mi amigo... (Mi amigo!)
Jose Cuervo
You are friend of mine
I like to drink you with
A little salt and lime
Did I kiss all the cowboys
Did I shoot out the lights
Did I dance on the bar
Did I start any fights
Jose Cuervo
You are friend of mine

Does it have to have a name? Sometimes that's the beauty of tequila. It can be a special friend, or just a nice, comfortable friend.

You said name my tequila, thus it would be Beth.
Otherwise, I don't touch that stuff with an 80 foot pole. Anymore.
But when I did, Casadores was a nice mid range drinking teq. Easy sipping and decent quality.
Blitzo and I tried that Sammy Hagar Cabo-Wabo brand and all I ended up with was a bad nickname* and a really hot man (he really did look like Brad Pitt, Blitzo can verify).
* the few that know that better never post it here or I will hunt you like a moose in Alaska.

Good enough for daily margs. You can get a big bottle from CostCo for somewhere in the range of $25 normally (actually on sale sometimes) and it's a nice drinking ta-kill-ya.
I like the Herradura anejo for those days when work has done it's damage.

steelmnkey! I'm on the same tequila team as you. Currently in the liquor pantry, is your first price-point choice, & I've always enjoyed Herradura.
However, Heidi mixes her tequila, & I drink mine on the rocks.
Don't get me started on stories of snorting tequila back in the old daze.
