The "meltdown" as you put it was when he got recognized and sliced his finger, but the part with the old lady with the potato salad who says, "too much", "not enough", and "too much", whereupon he turns his back and eats some with his fingers was hilarious.
Did you catch the first scene with Marisa Tomei where she says, "I can do things for you that your girlfriend can't." Only to be asked by the rude punk, "Like what? Graduate in 1985?"
I wish Ram had thumped him (I was thinking about my last date's graduation year).
A tough, gritty look at life, and a juicy role for Rourke.
