Bridwell sandbagged all of us youngin's. We climbed great because we were too inexperienced to know better. Also, Jim was both a great teacher without making you feel inferior in any way and had the knack for making you accept that what you were doing was normal. He always kept a sharp eye on everything, but we climbed towards his best standard.

A ratty rope, no pins, no bolts, one quart of water! Read the Frank Sacherer thread for the well spring of the water Jim had 70s climbers like Kevin drink.

Dan, above is one million dollar shot!
It would be nice to see it on new Yosemite Valley book cover page!
The only question when this book coming for public use?

Balls to the wall climbing bump. Mctwisted, that shot of Croft and Shultz IS amazing. Croft's (I'm guessing it's Croft) hair helps put the angle into proper perspective.

I plan to link up Mary's Tears with the NEB in a couple of days...would love to link it with The Crucifix but being 70 does have it's drawbacks.

F*#king cool perspective Dan of a dream route for me..

I will always remember Warbler's account of the first ascent
vividly...
As well as Tarbuster's account of an ascent in the late 80's/early 90's..
Amazing!!

Nice perspective snowhazed! McD's photos are always appreciated too . . . you must have the best photo collection of Yosemite climbing. Thanks for sharing them.
