Nice, largo! I was on that very same road on friday night and saturday! I drove up "Cielito" to the top there where those platform things are, then about what seemed like 20 more miles down the other side to some sweet hot springs where I camped for the night with my girlfriend. Drove out in the morning and saw some cragging right on the road on the way back down. Is it any good right there?
Nice pics, btw. I'm sure you know of Kris Holm. I ride a DH bike and I've seen him in videos ride some trails in north Van that were a challenge for me with eight inches of travel!

That rig cost 500 stones at mtn gear! We do have a singletrack here that I have never seen a 2 wheeler do. I have done as little as 2 touches, but I am sure these guys could pull this off. About a 1200' drop on rocky switchbacks somewhere around 2 miles?
Anyway....I drop my seat way down when I go downhill for the sole reason of NOT putting my sac that close to the seat.
Largo, next time you come out to the islands bring the muni.

This is great, I can't believe how many of you are whining about how crazy this sport is. Seems to me like a lot of people say the same thing about climbing. However being on the inside of the sport gives you a different perspective, no different with muning...

All due respect JL, but what the hell is so fun about those things? Seems like you could tear a berry real easy. Do ya wear a cup? Get heckled by "those damn two wheelers"? We need to be persuaded. Or stoned.

Ammon, you think a small child could ride the snowmoto? So can 80 year olds with bad knees who havent skied in 10 years, I demo the bikes for the west coast. Youd be surprised how much deep powder the snowmoto can ride through including double black diamonds and the jump parks.
As for the snowshoeing that picture was staged, if you look at it close enough you will see I couldnt be rail grinding on that rail.

Much of the hard riding is done up off the seat. The seat also is not a regular seat, rather an air seat with an inflated intertube inside. Real easy on the sack. Plus you're wearing bike shorts which keeps the plumbing up and out of the shockloading zone. I'll post a video of our pactice area when I have time.
