Damn group C looks pretty weak too.

Jeremy, you will finally have to choose Liverpool over Real. Can you do it?

Steve, you have to have a cable subscription then you can watch it online whenever. I pay a lot of money to watch soccer and F1, but to me it's worth it.

Man u adding Falcao is big for them, but don't think it will be enough for this year. Arsenal should have went after him, I have never been a Welbeck fan.

Chicharito will continue his super sub role at Real Madrid.

Die Rotens sign der rote Bart. Big sign for them, Alonso is one of the best even at age 32.

Falcao's wages are supposedly 345K pounds per week. Even more than the ridiculous amount Utd pays Rooney. I can't see Arsenal ever breaking the bank that much, and certainly not for someone recently coming back from a serious injury. Costa would have been a better choice, or maybe even Mandzukic, if Arsenal had acted sooner.

Welbeck was a decent pickup, as he provides a good alternative to Giroud, and should complement Walcott well in terms of giving a speedy target for Ozil to pass to.
The bigger problem is that Arsenal didn't get another defender or DM, and could be in big trouble if Kocscienly or Mertesacker pick up a long term injury.

345 a week? Holy sh#t, that's crazy. http://www.101greatgoals.com/blog/transfers/190k-to-346k-the-british-press-are-very-confused-on-radamel-falcaos-wages-at-man-united/

I had to check, looks like no one knows how much the deal is yet, but between Rooney, RVP, and Falcoa....damn.

How is Rooney the highest paid footballer?

Cause Moyes and the Man U execs were nuts. Now he's the England captain too.
Not that they have a lot of other great choices, but still.

Falcao, Rooney and di Maria are now the 3 highest paid players in the PL, and Van Persie is 7th. Silly. Rumor has it that Van Persie may need surgery on a injured knee(not a surprise given his injury record). If Falcao's knee doesn't hold up, that is a ridiculous amount of money sitting around.

Man U vs Burnley on the wknd, eh.

Announcer casually mentioned that:

The amount Man U paid for Di Maria, is more than Burnley has spent
accumulated in their entire existance as a team.

The game ended in a tie, btw... 0-0

Love it.

Just checked...Burnley has been League Soccer at the same stadium (Turf Moor) since 1888.

Suarez is still in timeout and in his corner until October. He, Messi, and Neymar will be fun to watch. The three best in their neighboring countries.

Have I ever mentioned I think Pep is ruining Bayern?

Liverpool game was good, Stevie G is the one person I'd want taking PKs. A machine.

Thought Chelsea was going to blow away Schalke, but Costa didn't start.

Gunners looked pretty bad Reilly.

Man U looked good, oh wait, they aren't in Champions.

Real took out their La Liga frustrations on Basel. Some great goals.

Olypiacos beating Atletico was a surprise.

That's because he has his left back Alaba playing mid. Bayern are injured, but their second squad is better than most team's first. Both Lahm and Alaba are so dangerous on overlapping runs from the back. I wish Pep would go to Chelsea.

Barca played a lot of 2nd string/academy type players. It certainly wasn't their best team. And Bayern had a bunch of their best midfielders missing.

Looks to be an interesting battle in that group between Bayern, Roma and City. One good team is going to be on the outs.

And glad to see that Chelsea isn't going to waltz through their group. They have been looking scary good in their Premier League matches.

Sacramento Republic Football Club finished it's first season with a USL championship. Gives us a really good shot of them moving up to being a MLS team.

Every major sport is analogous to fighting. The 100-yard battlefield, the olympic games, all harken back to the need for men to compete physically with other men.

Soccer is great. Football is great. Fighting is best.
