$.26/rd SUCKS!!!!!
I used to get HSM for eleven.
I'm working on a multi-gun crank operated platform and now it costs over $50 just to load up a couple of betamags!
My FAL seems to kick harder with the same rounds as the M14 or HK91.
Part of the weight trade off I guess, but at $7/ea you can't beat the price for magazines. Don'tcha love these gumbies that spend $ on a well made box feed and then only own 2 or 3 clips?

"I'm working on a multi-gun crank operated platform"
What are you mounting on it? Sounds cool.

HSM was brass factory reloads.
2 betamags doesn't make guessing hard.

Back when I bought my 181 series in stainless for $169.95 it was a lot of chuck for the buck.
Still have new in box Ruger factory 20 and 30 rd clips which during the CB ban could have fetched well into three figures.
In '82 I brought mine to Amherst and my dad thought it was cute.
Then I field stripped it and reassembled it in under four minutes blindfolded and he was impressed.
Then we went plinking and he was REALLY impressed.

Fun guns. If I stuffed the cylinders of the .44 with all the FFF or Pyrodex they would hold and still allow a 240 gr. bullet to squeeze in, I could make a buck do the chicken dance at 60 yards.
I like that little .36 Navy. It's cute.

mdavid,
how is that VangComp? Does it reduce recoil any?
I just put one of the new Knoxx SpecOps stocks onto my new 500 (with a ramming brake) but haven't tried it yet.

AC- I like the ruger red label myself, or some of the Bennelli over unders. My pop's friend had an Bennelli m4
. Whoa. 8 rounds of 3 inch mag by the time the first shell bounced.Load the first round with the pump, all the rest are select-fire, so you get the sound of the pump to stop someone before you have to use it, and you don't have to take your hands off the controls .

My M3 Super 90 is an awesome beast, also dual mode.
