I thought I'd revive this thread after buying a 70 m, 7 mm tag line and using it for the first time last weekend. I bought it mainly for Black Canyon routes. Last Sunday, I had planned to rappel down the route, Mer Dascht, at Mount Evans to check it out because I couldn't scare up a climbing partner and wanted to do something at altitude.
Holy crap, the rope seemed to cling to everything and was constantly getting tangled with the 10.3 mm rope. I ended up doing just one of the rappels and thinking to myself that there was a highly likely chance of my ropes getting stuck at some point if I were to continue. Being by myself on the 850 foot wall, I decided to bail. The more I feel and flex this rope the more I am convinced that it would get stuck on rappels far more often than say, a 9mm. I'm kinda thinking that I wasted 130 bucks.
