Thanks for the heads up guys. An earlier hard drive crash had led to a loss of some of my pictures, and I was able to copy the ones posted here back to my computer.

Best to all going forward, and thanks again for a place to post.

Well, shit!

The lord giveth and the lord taketh away.

It's been real, and it's been fun, but it hasn't been real fun. lol.

Good to see some old characters popping in for the end.

Still planning to crash a facelift someday......

Happy trails, all.

They were going to pull the plug fifteen years ago. They were just waiting for Licky to finish his plane crash book.

Time to head to Mountain Project, I guess. It seems more a more stable and likely landing spot than any of the 50 supertopo replacement forums popping up.

I've enjoyed my time here.

I've primarily read here-only the occasional thread I've felt was of a subject where I had something meaningful to contribute.

THis has been more than a worthwhile resource, in many ways. Advice, news-including takes on critical issues involving safety.
THANKS!

Thanks,, Brad.

I’ll be following you on mudncrud.

I somehow missed the last couple days of last August. That’s the area I root around in a lot.

Chris given your profitable rental properties in Tahoe and other businesses, couldn’t you buy a bunch of cheap liability insurance to cover possible lawsuits?

Except for the few Super Egos and Super Jerks on here, I will miss the people that have made this forum a fun and informative place. CG and I have met and climbed with lots of great folks through SuperTaco, hopefully we can stay in touch with some of you.

Cheers,
Dave

One of the people that I will miss is Karl Baba. I had the chance to meet him some ten years ago, and he was pretty mellow.
Anyway, I always enjoyed his tales.

When I first joined Supertopo I was a complete noob when it came to climbing. This place opened up the doors to a world of information and connections with other climbing partners and new friends. It fueled the fire for what has been and will be a lifetime pursuit of climbing and adventure. While it had its bad moments lately I will really miss this place.

someone should put together an email list

You need to have your own. Nobody is gonna do it for you.

Seriously, if there are people here you want to stay connected to, now is the time to ask for contact info.

I tried the Facebook page and will continue, but I kind of felt like there were so many who don't use, dislike or despise FB that it was leaving out a lot of us.

So....I started to build out the forum I mentioned upthread. If people use it enough to warrant, then I'll see if others are willing to help with it in the way of moderating and such.

Here it is: http://climberstacosalad.freeforums.net/
