Antichrist for the laugh of the day. Hilarious! Not all would go to the wall, however. So there's that. I did see clips of Feinstein and Pelosi sounding all mean and conservative about illegal immigration and enforcing the border. Such raging hypocrites. It's all about power. They know that illegals, once they get established--i.e. their kids, vote mostly dem, so their current stance is way more about long term power control than anything else. Folks, you cannot be too cynical about Washington. It is a swamp. The these people are swamp creatures. Ugh.

They are crossing where there is NO WALL.

And they're crosssing where there IS A WALL. 5.6 billion dollars does not cover the depth of a wall. Invest in shovels, you won't regret it.

Truth?

Trump voters can't handle the truth.

This should not even be an issue if Trump would actually do what he said he was going to do: build a wall, and make Mexico pay for it.

And if that happened, Trump voters, how would you feel about the eminent domain issues it would create when the federal gov't grabbed tons of private land?

worked with a woman whose family has owned a ranch along the border for a couple of hundred years. After the Mexican War the border went right through their ranch. So far they have access to all of their property, but what if the wall comes along?

"This drama isn't about illegal immigration. It's about sticking it to Trump."

If Trump or his voters are even the slightest bit surprised this has degenerated the way it has, they are only confirming their complete naïveté around politics.

The politics on this issue have been juvenile from the start- if Trump had any political savvy whatsoever, he would have initiated his wall months and months ago, when he had the Senate and HoR on his side. To wait as long as he did to pursue a central element in his campaign was extremely poor judgement.

Tying his wall to the federal budget bill was a bad gamble that he is now dramatically losing in the court of public opinion. More bad political judgement.

Of course the Democrats are going to fight him on this, and they will use every tactic they think will work, including using the same slimy power plays that Trump has been using for the last two years. That's politics, folks....Trump-style politics.

Trump criticizes Pelosi for attempting to see troops in Afghanistan

President Donald Trump criticized House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Friday for attempting to visit troops in Afghanistan as the government shutdown continues with no end in sight.

"Why would Nancy Pelosi leave the Country with other Democrats on a seven day excursion when 800,000 great people are not getting paid," the president tweeted.

Of course, when Trump was in Iraq there wasn't an active effort to end the shutdown.

Were any members of Congress working (or even in DC) at that time?

Aren't you splitting some awfully fine hairs, there, Edward?

If Pelosi had visited the troops 5 days after the shutdown began, I'm sure we'd be hearing loud rants about how she's off on the gov't dime while 800,000 employees are out of work.

Trump's rants about Pelosi's trip are the purest form of hypocrisy. (Let the deflection begin.)

Our "coward in chief" doesn't have the balls to visit dangerous Afghanistan.

It's gud Pelosi doesn't have balls.

You mean the huge difference in circumstances?

And speaking of deflection, your efforts to rationalize Pelosi's sleazy tactics crack me up. Keep 'em coming.
