Anyone ever work for Cohen personally? He is now CEO of Squaw Alpine. Seems like a small improvement over Wirth at least.

The boat ride will cost you your dignity
Jon, no shame here! Once, there was a search that included Young Lakes, where I was scheduled to patrol for a few days. The helicopter was shuttling searchers back to Tuolumne, with a Young Lake pick up scheduled. I somehow talked them in to letting me hitch a ride out there. I scurried back to my cabin and grabbed a cold six pack to bring along. No shame!
I did research at McCabe Lakes in 1988 and needed to go out there about every 2 or 3 weeks. Taking the boat was the way to go!
By the way, my battery made it home via FedEx disguised as a stereo receiver, thanks to your sound advice and tape!
