What’s Lynn Hill doing with a python??

Haven't you heard of snake yoga? I had a vegan snake once, but it died.

LMAO

Sorry I can't help, Tama.

I do know that before feeding many snake owners konk the rodent so it won't hurt the snake.

Balls can be recalcitrant feeders, but beautiful creatures.

Why does Lynn have a python? Is it Owen's?

When people said "look at those pythons!" I thought they were talking about her biceps.

When you say you want someone to help you feed the python, are you looking for someone small, feeble and easily digestible?

Hey Tamara, this is Tim. Not sure that your new pal is going to need/want to be fed for at least 7-10 days after its last feeding - if not more- so that'd be roughly Wednesday or so at the earliest. Looks like you're gonna have to step up your mouse caring skills ;-)

Talk to you in a few days- give me a shout sooner if needed.

Tim thank you! So far so good, snake's nearly shed that last bit, mouse is moving about.

I visited with Jeff Lowe today for several hours and he shared a story. He got his stepson a Ball Python years ago and the kid fed it one day but left the house. Returned to find that the mouse had ripped the snake up (spine was visible) - snake had done similar damage to mouse.... long story short - not a pleasant ending!

Others, Yep it's Owens.... ;)

If the mouse is strutting around like Jerry Mouse then you'll probably need to trade him in. Not saying that Linn's snake is afraid but....it happens

How about a photo of the snake, draped over your shoulders would be cool.

Ball pythons are picky and they do things in their own time. And they can go a looong time without eating...

I only Feed my girl Peanut large thawed frozen rats. Realistically she only averages about twice a month. She’s a little over a meter long, and
That sustainsher. I hear that once they get live food they won’t go back..

I'm going to trade the mouse in for a frozen one today (hopefully you heard wrong about that one, Jaybro....). I'm way more comfy with the snake (Dick Erb, I'll get that picture!), but Lowe's horror story has me deciding to make an executive decision about what this snake gets fed!

(though the whole thing of thawing the bugger out before feeding is slightly off-putting also.... lol) (should I just fry it up in one of her cast iron skillets?!?) ;)

so you are saying its a girl mouse. Maybe the snake doesn't like girls. Maybe it swings the other way.

...

As for trading in the mouse. I don't believe pet stores take used mice.

Speaking of rabbits making noise.

Years back, we were at the boat launch-site on Idaho's Bruneau river, inflating our rafts.

Heidi heard something making whinning noises in the nearby willows & went to take a look. A 4' - 5' long gopher snake had constricted, but not killed a baby cottontail, which was making little rabbit screams, while its mother stood helpless nearby.

Heidi found a stick & whapped the snake a couple times. It un-wrapped from the baby, & the mom & baby cottontails hopped off.
