The gutter question has been discussed at length from design inception. The architect settled on a custom drip edge detail and wants the siding to age and streak naturally. As builders, we are at least comforted by the fact this is a rain screen rather than direct applied siding to shear. Thus far it has been performing better than we expected. When we looked at other designs, like this, with no eaves, they are also predominantly done in locations with mountain weather, primarily Scandinavia, Alps, Japan so there is a track record.
The gable is a translucent poly carbonate that will keep the neighbors "interested" in the goings' on, but luckily only really sees into one room which is a loft/office.
The "leaning" stud is actually where the wall skews several degrees therefore appearing to lean in the pic.

Nice design. Pay no attention to treez, who for some reason, can't see the forest. :)

Nice looking staircase. What are the stringers inside there? What do the treads consist of?
Post this stuff over on the What yer building thread. Thanks

The stringer is a GLB and the treads are LVL with a no slip Porcelainosa tile surface. We stripped that wall on the left to add blocking then pocket holed SDS bolts through the bottom of the tread. It's all just as clean from the back too. The grab rail has a light in it as well. It helps having clients that want this level of work.
