I've been skipping psyche meds my entire life.

And, I have successfully evaded any doctor who might want to prescribe such drugs.

Love is the drug, that I'm thinking of.

When asked if North Korean leader Kim Jong Un would visit the White House, President Donald Trump said that he likely would, complimented his “strong” leadership, and said he wished Americans would “sit up at attention” when he speaks like the North Koreans do for Kim.

“Hey, he is the head of a country and I mean he is the strong head,” Trump said of Kim to Fox News’ Steve Doocy on Friday. “Don’t let anyone think anything different. He speaks and his people sit up at attention. I want my people to do the same.”

Fidel Castro held out, to the bitter end, about not embracing the United States. After he was no longer in power, Cuba is being seen as, potentially, part of the global community, and not a pariah state.

Kim Jong-Un may want to move past the isolationist policy of his grandfather and father.

I give Trump props for going there, and opening relations.

Kim Jong-Un may be playing a propaganda trick for his own benefit, or he may want to genuinely want to embrace a more open national policy.

Cuba no longer wants to be marginalized on the world stage. North Korea may want to make the same move.

Trump may be able to assist North Korea in becoming great, in the manner of the Four Tigers - Japan, Taiwan, Singapore, South Korea.

From the whining promoter of the archetypical instance of amphetamine psychosis.

Would ya like like some fresh yellow wee wee on your whites?

"Yeah boss, still shaking it, just tryin' to keep my head above water"

"Don't let anyone think anything different. He speaks and his people sit up at attention. I want my people to do the same," Trump said.

Thank you for showing a photo of what the Koch brothers' paper companies are dumping into rivers and local drainage sloughs.

The big money people feed cash into the Republican party, so that there is no enforcement of environmental protection laws that were instigated by President Nixon (a Republican).

That photo is for EPA chief Scott Pruitt, what the Russian hooker Moscow pee-tape is for Trump.

Again, thanks for making our point for us. You're a double agent, but on our side.

Not the Kokes, but it's all the same in some sense.

That's Tejas recycling urine according to the article.

Desperate times call for a tall, cool glass of creativity in this patch of West Texas where water is scarce and quickly disappearing.

But a plan to pump millions of new gallons of drinking water into the system has many people across West Texas holding their noses.

This week construction started on a $13 million water-reclamation facility. That’s a fancy way of describing a treatment plant that will turn sewage wastewater into drinking water.

“That’s not something I even want to think about,” said Eunice Thixton, a Big Spring resident. “It really doesn’t sound too good.”

AS they say in the White House (Kremlin?) and Texas:

Urine is golden.

I was confused. I saw a similar scene, in a documentary about the Koch brothers.

I am not an expert on toxic waste being discharged into public waterways to the distress of people marginalized by the untoward big cash money influence of rich and powerful people and corporations.

I just get angry, and it all trends towards looking the same to me.

A water reclamation project, turning piss into Paisano, is not the worst thing in the world.

The Hyperion sewage plant in Los Angeles is probably at the forefront of that sort of technology.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyperion_sewage_treatment_plant

Here, where I live, the treated waste water is passed through pipes of a different color, to identify it as such, and it is used for landscaping irrigation.

On Catalina Island, they use sea water for flushing toilets, and the corrosion problems keep the plumbers in business.

What are you going to do????????

Shifting into a different, higher gear:

Paul Manafort has had his bail revoked, and he has been remanded to custody. It is highly likely that he will remain in a cage for the rest of his life. He has almost no valuable information for Mueller. He has almost no bargaining chips to play. He is just a guy who, somehow, thought it was clever to come to the forefront of the National Stage after engaging in illegal activity.

Trump's fixer Michael Cohen has only four options, all of them either bad or unlikely:

 incarceration
 cooperation
 exoneration
 assassination

This is a terrible state of affairs, and I have sympathy and empathy for him. He is a human being, and he has screwed up his situation.

I thank God that I am such a small man that I have only screwed up to a small degree, and that I don't have to face what he is now facing.

This THING is playing out, in real time, before us, and it will get worse.

The benefit to the public is that this situation is so extreme, it will result in a future wherein this will (hopefully) never happen again.

A mathematician, or physicist, or engineer, would agree that the proper settling point for a pendulum is in the middle.

When the pendulum swings far to the left, and then far to the right, the proper settling position will, eventually, be in the middle.

We are seeing a swing far to the right.

Newton's Laws of Motion state that a pendulum will swing far to the left, after a swing far to the right.

But, a suitable corrective force on a pendulum can cause it to settle in the middle.

Tom, you forgot one option: our Dear Leader could pardon him.

Since there doesn't seem to be any real thing that he sees as "justice," anymore than he sees "truth," what's fair won't be a factor in deciding whether to pardon him or not. And neither will Dear Leader think of what's good for the country.

The only considerations will be what he can get away with while doing what's good for himself.

The Supreme Court of the United States came out with a ruling”

“...While reckless assaults upon pub lic men, and efforts to bring obloquy upon those who are endeavoring faith fully to discharge official duties, exert a baleful influence and deserve the se verest condemnation in public opinion, it cannot be said that this abuse is greater, and it is believed to be less, than that which characterized the peri od in which our institutions took shape. Meanwhile, the administration of gov ernment has become more complex, the opportunities for malfeasance and cor ruption have multiplied, crime has grown to most serious proportions, and the danger of its protection by unfaith ful officials and of the impairment of the fundamental security of life and property by criminal alliances and offi cial neglect, emphasizes the primary need of a vigilant and courageous press, especially in great cities. The fact that the liberty of the press may be abused by miscreant purveyors of scandal does not make any the less necessary the immunity of the press from previous restraint in dealing with official mis conduct.”

The magnificence of our governmental system is that the State is not beholden to the Federal with respect to prosecuting crimes at the State level.

Trump can't pardon Cohan, for crimes brought before a State Attorney General.

Trump's delusional and illusory omnipotence doesn't extend to the State level, at all.

Prosecutors are not stupid.

They play their cards very sagaciously.

When criminals should go to jail, the cards are played appropriately.

Trump's power to pardon co-conspirators is well known.

Sagacious prosecutors know how to obviate that maneuver.

Prosecution, at the State level, is one way to ensure justice.

Problem is, America’s wealth is increasingly lopsided, with the affluent and the ultra-wealthy amassing rising proportions and everyone else benefiting modestly if at all.

The top 10 percent of the country holds 73 percent of its wealth, a share that has crept steadily up since 1986, according to the World Inequality Database. The most sweeping gains are concentrated among the top 1 percent; this group holds nearly 39 percent of the wealth. And they’re arguably poised to become even more prosperous because Trump’s tax cuts largely favored the wealthiest slice of individual taxpayers.

Contrast that with the middle 40 percent of the country, a group that would historically be considered middle class. In 1986, they held 36 percent of the country’s wealth; now, it’s just 27 percent.

“So the big fat dummy insults Canada’s Prime Minister and Canadians, and says it’s an “honour” to meet the murderous dictator?”

Trump has far more respect for authoritarian systems of government than he does for democracies.

If he rose to the top in a system that allowed it, he would happily be a Putin/Erdogan/Duterte. And he would be just as ruthless and cruel.

I have zero sympathy. I'll save that for the young person brought up in a single parent household with little positive influence available to help form their life; where the streets gave them no real good choices but crime.

Cohen and that ilk had ample opportunity to walk away from criminality, and choose a different path. None of those people has ever gone a day hungry, never worried how they'd pay for their most basic needs.
