The president could have shot James Comey if he had wanted to, legally speaking.
Indeed, Obama summarily executed US citizens, so the precedent has been set.

Who on this site listens to the conservative military analyst Ralph Peters?

The first sentence above is a legitimate comparison/argument.
The second sentence makes the posting party seem childish and ruins their credibility. Too bad.

Who on this site knows of Ralph Peters?
He’s a retired U.S. Army Lt. Colonel who’s known for being quite conservative. He’s also a very rigorous thinker, and ruthlessly, ruthlessly realistic.
Politically I “lean” left. Peters is well to the right. And yet he thinks for himself! I like those who think for themselves, so I’ve followed his writing for over two decades now; for example; I’ve got old copies of a magazine that used to carry his articles (Armed Forces Journal International).
I still remember one of his articles from almost 20 years ago in which he called out dangers presented by Iran. Not “canned,” everybody-knows-them dangers, but deeply analyzed issues. He also discounted several of the then “commonly held” worries about that country. His suggestions for “solutions” to the “Iran problem” were deeply practical, varying from flat-out making peace with them to military solutions.
He thinks, thinks, thinks. He does not follow “the party line.”
Ralph Peters worked for years recently as a military analyst for Fox News.
And then he quit. When he quit he literally and bluntly accused Fox of "assaulting our constitutional order and the rule of law."
Today Ralph Peters said that Fox is doing a "great deal of damage" to the United States.
He also used words that actually shocked me. He said about the current president of the United States:
"I am convinced that Vladimir Putin has a grip on President Trump," adding, "I hope I'm wrong."
Conservative readers: think about that. Think for yourselves. Here’s one of YOU who is flat brilliant.
What matters conservative readers, the United States of America, or blind, rah rah loyalty to its president (any president)?
And by the way, don’t take my word for it. Think for yourselves. Search out Ralph Peters earlier commentaries (I think he’s the one who called President Obama a “pussy” on air). Find his current comments by yourselves and listen to them.
Fake News? A disguised “commie?” Yeah, I don’t think so.
Search for yourselves. And then decide: are you a patriot or a sycophant?

And I don't post for yours. So if you want to act like a second grader, be ready to be called out on it.
Leaving to go climbing now, sweetie ;)

Yea bro, because a drone strike in Yemen against a traitor working with a terrorist organization that has launched attacks on our soil and is advocating the destruction of the USA is the same as assassinating the Director of the FBI who is investigating your crime family.
Yes, you are really that stupid.
Do citizens of the United States lose their constitutional rights because they are out of the country?
In what court was that person convicted of treason?

So, kingtut, if Trump determines that Mueller is an enemy of the American people, he can be executed at Trump's pleasure?

So if somebody posts a really stupid comparison, it is childish to say that they posted a really stupid comparison?
If someone makes a kindergarten type taunt, and you point out how childish it is, that ruins their credibility?
And this is what we do now instead of debating the real problems that this country has? Those that don't want to engage in reality are, sadly, winning. But reality will bite back sooner or later.

But, the precedence has been set by Obama. It was wrong. Obama was great President, but he made some questionable decisions.
after following President Obama's Administration closely for eight years
but unfortunately not being invited to attend any of the intelligence security council briefings
I would like to be educated about the questionable precedences and decisions? thanks

A guy who called Obama a pussy is now calling Fox News a threat to our democracy.
Glass half empty says he’s full of sh#t for calling Obama a pussy, and don’t trust his judgment about fox.
Glass half full says he doesn’t have a partisan axe to grind, so he’s equally right about what he’s saying. If this is you, great, you think Obama is a pussy and Fox is bad for our democracy.
Or from both sides of the mouth, pick and chose whatever you want to believe, and imagine that it’s consistent, and that this guy’s opinion matters about the things we agree with him on, and doesn’t about the things we disagree with him on.
We decide - are we going to be consistent, or fit the data to our pre-existing belief? Save yourself some time - we’re all gonna do the latter anyway.
I do agree with him though - the media is threatening our democracy! It’s undermining our presidency! Witch hunt!
Who knew I leaned so far left?!

Sure I can see that too. And if that’s the way you see it, then I can see why you’d cite his history of views as indicative of his good judgment. Is that how you see it? Did you see that I offered that as one option? If you agree with him that Obama was a pussy, then I can see why you’d offer that when citing his good judgment, and believability, with respect to Fox News.
One of my voters and fellow supertoper - a fine white parent of a black daughter - called Michelle Obama a man a little while back. It is what it is. If you think calling our First Lady (and black American woman role model) a man is good judgment in raising a black daughter in our racist society, where white folks (like that black girl’s parents) are often privileged to not have to notice or consider the sexist racist bullshit they engage in, and the effect that bullshit has on blacks, like his daughter, then you might respect his judgment in other regards. If not, perhaps not.
