If you want some personal criticism, who in the hell picks "Trump" as an avatar, as an handle, not very original, not very clever. Facetious? Perhaps. Still not original or clever. IMO

EDIT

I believe in conservatives and liberals, I believe in consensus and suitable compromise, It is the extremists that get on my nerves, or should I say, that worry me.

And liberals are called snowflakes by the alt-right. As far as I can tell, there are plenty of snowflakes on the right. Sensitive souls. As bad at taking critical thinking as any leftie. Perhaps even worse.

EDIT

In the past, I have made an ass of myself on this forum (over 13 years), usually when I am depressed or had some booze on me, or both. I have always tried to apologize, sincerely.

So I do not need to be lectured. I have been around the block as many times as many/most of you people. I can be opinionated, but I try to be an informed "opinionated".

I would love to see Trump (as much as I dislike him, his policies, his personality) succeed in Korea, a festering wound. So there know-it-all Reilly, Mr Perfect, some of us do not want Trump to fail like you have implied. But I fear it will not happen for the best. Trump has no clue how to deal on the global stage. Perhaps he will learn for the best. Somehow, I doubt it.

Do I hold double standards? Can I be a hypocrite? I guess so, but I try to keep it at the absolute minimum.

pray for a stroke or a heart attack

Madonna, the aging pop tart, publicly stated that she wanted to blow up the White House. As far as I know, she is still loose, and weird, on the streets. Kathy Griffin, the comedienne, held up a partial effigy of the president (head only), and received a tremendous backlash. The Secret Service has not arrested and prosecuted her.

Praying for a stroke would seem to fit right in with the evangelicals' support for the president. Fox News commentator Jeanine Pirro has said that Trump is acting in accordance with scriptural prophesies. Presumably, she was referring to the Book of Revelations. Evangelicals are apparently anxious for fulfillment of this:

"And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed; and all the world wondered after the beast."

A stroke is a type of brain injury that can be fatal, but is often survivable.

Jeanine Pirro, and her evangelical fan base, might be praying for a more television-ready head injury to the President, like his bumping his head on the Marine One doorway, falling down the stairs, and requiring four stitches to stanch the bleeding. They get their "fatal" head injury, he stands back up, and then the entire world marvels at, and follows, the Beast.

A cheeseburger, in time, saves nine.

That just means that a fat cat getting a cheeseburger in time preserves its nine lives. A can of Frisky's Buffet would make more sense, but if all you have is a cheeseburger, to keep your cat alive . . . . .

A cheeseburger, in time, saves lives.

I don't know what that one means.

Anyone tired of winning yet?
https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2018/06/vetoes-unsc-resolution-protection-palestinians-180601201831238.html

The US was, in turn, the only country to vote in favour of a revised draft-resolution it submitted subsequent to the Kuwait-sponsored initiative.

The second vote saw 11 countries abstaining and three rejecting it.

The US version had omitted references to Israeli use of force and protecting Palestinians. It instead demanded that Hamas and other Palestinian groups cease "all violent provocative actions" in Gaza.

EPA chief Scott Pruitt is cheered on by billionaire coal barons as he repeals the Obama-era Clean Power Plan in Kentucky. A month earlier, Pruitt postponed enforcement of Federal laws against dumping toxic mine waste into public waterways, which was also cheered on by the coal industry.

The photo has not been photoshopped. The guy wearing the emphysema rig is actually happy he's going be breathing dirty air.

Pruitt is in bed with at least one billionaire coal baron, Joseph Craft III, at left in the above photo. Pruitt and Trump have received millions in donations from Craft, as well as various gifts and favors. Craft has been to see Pruitt in Washington a dozen times, more than the number of times Pruitt has met with conservation and protection groups. Pruitt and Craft have been buddies since the days when Pruitt was the Oklahoma Attorney General, and was suing the EPA to hinder its activities.

^^^^^^

Tom, that photo speaks volumes. If true, about dumping mine wastes into public waterways, that is scandalous. My late mother is from West Virginia, I talk with some cousins there, they do not agree what Trump, Pruitt and company are doing. They think it is a step backwards.

EDIT for clarification
When I write Trump, I do not refer to the poster who goes by the 'Trump handle', though he/she apparently thinks so. I refer to Donald Trump. I think most of us realize that, accept maybe the poster "Trump", who has only been on this forum since March 23 of this year. A troll or WUM perhaps?

Scott Pruitt, the epitome of Government corruption

Being paid by lobbyists to deregulate their industry for profit

What do the Republicans/conservatives think?

Unfortunately, they don't comment on the particulars of what Trump does
they only whine or insult

or give broad brush platitudes like "I think he's doing a great job"

every department is being stocked with this level of corruption
Trump supporter = "I think he's doing a great job, he's pissing off the liberals, he must being something right"

the Nazis said the same thing, "Hitler is pissing off the liberals, he must being doing something right"

. . . billionaire coal executive who's lobbied the EPA on issues important to his company--and is looking for major victories under Pruitt

Pruitt has already given this guy the right to dump toxic mine waste into rivers, and has repealed Obama's Clean Energy Plan to encourage burning more coal.

https://www.sfgate.com/news/article/In-secret-memo-lawyers-argued-Trump-has-complete-12963098.php

Trump's lawyers, Dowd and Sekulow, claim that Trump has absolute power over the Department of Justice, and that it is impossible for him to obstruct an investigation, in a criminal or legal sense. They say that since he controls the DOJ, he can hire and fire investigators at will. They claim that Trump can simply end any investigation or prosecution, at any time, against anyone, including himself. Conversely, he can order an arbitrary investigation, at any time, against anyone, using his absolute power.

Trump's lawyers say that he is immune to indictments, subpoenas and any other legal process. Those in Trump's favor would be similarly immune to any legal process, if he so chooses. Conversely, Trump's enemies could be subjected to random, baseless legal process, investigation, prosecution and incarceration because of Trump's alleged absolute power over the DOJ.

Trump's lawyers must similarly argue that Trump has absolute power over the entire executive branch of government, and not just the Department of Justice. In other words, Trump must have absolute power of office.

Trump's lawyers are arguing that Trump has autocratic powers that override the Constitution, and allow him to behave as a king, emperor, dictator, tyrant or similar autocrat that is not beholden to any rule of law.

Because the DOJ investigates voter fraud, Trump must have also have the power to invalidate future presidential elections, and remain in power for life.

It is truly astonishing that these foolish and false legal arguments, which were presumably not facetious, were made by trained and licensed attorneys in the United States.

One of those attorneys, John Dowd, has since abandoned Trump and the attempt to declare him emperor for life. The other one, Jay Sekulow, still represents Trump, and supposedly stands by his earlier statements, and is prepared to defend them.

https://www.sfgate.com/news/article/Giuliani-Trump-constitutional-power-pardon-himself-12963839.php

Rudy Giuliani says that Trump has the power to pardon himself, which is an alternative statement that he is above the law.

Giuliani is all over the place with his nonsensical pseudo-logic and Buffoon's Guide To The Law.

Giuliani stated that Trump can't be indicted, tried or convicted while in office; but Trump can pardon himself if he is convicted while in office; but then he would be impeached and removed from office for pardoning himself, while in office, for a crime that he can't be convicted of while he is in office . . . . . .

Trump and his lawyers are an insult to the nation, and are embarrassing us before the rest of the world. Trump is an incompetent dolt who gained the presidency through fraud, and he is now making overtures to obtain absolute power over the government, for the rest of his life (and then what? The emperor's ring is given to Eric?).

Figuratively speaking, Mueller needs to cook Trump up, smear him with mustard, and feed him to the dogs.

Trumps pardons of truly undeserving convicts and this latest stance are clearly meant to send a messagge: we are above the law. Now, if I were one of the prosecutors I’d be countering that by working up concurrent pardon-proof state law claims against the various criminals in the administration. The message of that would be: you might get pardoned but then you will face state charges with no chance of a plea deal.

When it comes down to it, though, the Supreme Court will likely rule in favour of the rule of law. Trump is no more above the law than anyone else.

Trump has already shown that he is above the law for a lot of things. Just look at his decades long career screwing business partners and contractors.

With so many scandals there are lots that go generally under the radar. Bush senior owned a few million dollars of stocks and felt the need to put that in a blind trust while he was president. Compare that to Trump who has millions of dollars of real estate and business investment in countries that are quite happy to make things more or less profitable depending on how Trump behaves. How is he not above the law?

Supreme Court will likely... Exactly. What if they don't? If Ginsburg kicks off one of these days and the Dems don't have a majority, Trump will really reshape the Court. And no, I don't think a filibuster will save the Dems. It only takes a simple majority of Senators to get rid of the filibuster rule.
