Guess drumpf doesn't believe in the free market when it comes to catering to his lobbyists. Remember to vote these GOPigs out in November.

Well said the Fet.

It goes back to what I have said about everything moving right, now the progressive side of Democrats are demonized as “antifa”.

Whilst there are a superminority of the left that are active “antifa” the number is very low.
That said most center left responsible people are against fascism.

Advocating for the death of the President is a felony,

Did you know that law extends to former presidents and candidates?

It’s not exclusive to the elected guy.

What if the president is secretly cooperating with an enemy communist country that has nuclear rockets pointed at us... Can the president be given the electric chair or hung by his short ones...? would his hair stick straight out like Buckwheat when he sees a ghost or messican...?

Meeting With Donald Trump ‘Was Like Talking To A Toddler’

Rhonda Hart, whose daughter, Kimberly Vaughan, was among eight students who died in the shooting last month, told The Associated Press her conversation with Trump “was like talking to a toddler.”

She said the president focused on the shooter and his appearance, repeatedly describing him as “wacky.”

During a White House listening session after the shooting, Trump was seen holding a notecard reminding him to tell victims and families that “I hear you.”

Harming our closest allies, raising the prices on key intermediate products, and provoking retaliation

Angering our allies, aligning with our adversaries, trade wars, deregulating, stoking division on immigrates....

This is only aiding Putin
along with pulling out of the Iran Agreement and the Paris Accord.
All Putin goals

Our Country is in crisis and the Republicans are negligent in doing what the Constitution requires

Therefore they are complicit in letting the Russian's control foreign policy

I think this is much more about a global class war than Russians out to hurt USA. It is a successful campaign to obfuscate the real battle lines, away from the real divide of rich vs poor, and instead reframe it in terms of ethnic/country/religious or other divisions.

People instinctively recognize that their situation is getting worse, and this is fueling populist movements around the world. The problem is, with lack of critical thinking and observation and memory of past cause and effect, and now the growing war on truth and fact, we are all vulnerable to being redirected to whatever bogeyman gives us emotional succor in the midst of bad circumstances we can’t change.

“Russians”, “ISIS”’ “Republicans” “Democrats” “Trump”

While it is fair to say the Republican supported policies do hasten the divide between rich and poor... the Democratsare selective in drawing attention to some but not all policies that hasten the growing divide. They try to be “pragmatic” and find a space that helps average people while not alienating their Uber-rich donors. That is what made Bernie different, and what made me excited about the Democratic Party again. But in the aftermath of that election, I am still disillusioned with the lack of leadership and vision in the Democratic Party... such a historic time in terms of being able to educate people about what policies will help and which will hurt the average person... and the main gestalt I get from Democrats these days is “not Trump.” That should be a given, but when you create a void, it must be filled with something. The Democrats are failing badly to articulate how they will fill that void. It just seems like politics as usual.

Maybe I’m just not paying attention to the right people, or my media filters are all out of whack. I’m still going to vote Democrat as the better set of policy and world view alternatives to Republican, unless we have alternative candidates talking honestly about policy issues that I agree with.

The tricky part, as Mr. Fry would point out, is how that sows division on the liberal side and creates a weakness for Republicans to remain in office. My answer to that, is if the Dems want to seriously fight back, then stop sucking the corporate tit and fully commit to the policies that support the average person. Articulate the problems of global competition, and the harm to our local economy if we support hard-line policies against corporate excess that shift their assets and investment elsewhere. Articulate how we need a cooperative global economic environment with consistent regulatory protections for people and environment in each country, and that isolationist fractionalized economies HELP the ultra rich while hurting the vast majority of poor people, because they can move to exploit the inequalities and get richer from it while most of us are stuck in our spot.

Explain the nature of the conflict, the long term vision to fight against it, and what price we must pay as we achieve milestones toward that vision. The complete lack of that vision and getting the buy-in from society, assuming that people are “too stupid” to get it and instead treating them like toddlers, is part of the reason for the rebellion against the set of policies that would in the long run help more people.

Or, just say “vote Democrat because Trump is helping the Russians.”

Yeah, what happened to 'free market' Republicans? Used to be, only a year or two ago, the magic market would decide who wins or loses; now Trump wants to subsidize the coal industry 'cause the price of natural gas is killing it.

On another topic, Trump needs to be careful with that pardon thingie. Once a person accepts a Presidential pardon they can no longer plead the 5th Amendment against self incrimination; they have to talk.

The “real answer” is to remove Trump from office using the 25th Amendment to replace him, Sachs concludes.

Quit with personal attacks and ad hominem attacks. I tried to do it (I may still do but I hope not, but there are some posters who annoy me, know it alls, I shouldn't let them bug me, but they do, either I am an idiot or they are), and it does not work.

Calling the other sides names gets nowhere. I think we all actually know that, but for some it is fun to resort to schoolyards insults. Okay, if it is done in fun and jest, I guess it is not so bad.

This is an echo chamber but for both "sides", the liberal side is just more "populous" and vociferous.

Seriously though, please tell me how Trump is the bees knees? What has he done, seriously? What legislation that will help the average American? He has started a trade war, now I am not an economist (for what that would be worth) and I have been a business journalist for years in several countries, but how can he expect to win, turning on US allies?

And, I am not a conspiracy person, but his lack of supporting sanctions against Russia, and his flip flops on China (ZTE, anyone?), how can one not help but think something smells fishy there?

Maybe it is a storm in a tea cup. But he is breaking all norms, and IMO not for the better. It seems he likes smelling his own farts and crap. He is a failed businessperson, though he is great at marketing (himself).

Yes Trump has upset the status quo, but for the better? I do not think so, I think for the worse. His lack of understanding of the Constitution, his indifference to most Americans, his lining his pockets while as POTUS (deny it!), his courting of right-wing groups.

Draining the swamp? Come on, look at his cabinet appointees.

At the recent press conference where Sanders (Trump) said the ABC should apologize to Ivanka for Bee's use of the C word, and he (Sanders that is) said there were double standards (there are, hypocrisy knows no ideology), and a reporter asked at the end of the press conference; "When is the president going to apologize for all he has said?" Sanders waked out.

I love it.

Trump has no scruples (not unlike many politicians).

You cannot ever convince me he is NOT a scumbag. He is.

A two-party system. Okay, and when will we get sensible moderate liberals and conservatives who know how to compromise and come to a healthy consensus?

I await.

Nutagain..The dems have to suck on the corporate tit...It's the quickest easiest way to get elected and into power...Bernie was an exception to the rule..changing campaign rules is a tough nut to crack..the american people aren't bright enough to demand it...If Trump gets off the hook America is going to get screwed opening the flood gates to more corruption and abuse...

If you are conservative you probably like a lot of his judicial appointments, although any run of the mill conservative President would probably have done better. Several of his nominees have been complete morons.

Trump, when I said personal insults, I meant on this forum, perhaps I should have clarified that.

By calling Trump a scumbag on this forum, I do not think I was being hypocritical. Because he is. Double standards? In 1994 Ted Nugent called Hillary Clinton a c*nt, yet years later Trump invited Nugent to the White House.

Trump has insulted so many people (not to count the contractors and subcontractors he has screwed over the years), and he has never apologized (has he, I do not recall, perhaps he has).

So do not hold me up to double standards, if your standard bearer wants to throw rocks at houses, he'd better make sure he does not live in a glass house.
