Hi Ron,
A deep thank you for all that you've done and continue to do to organize this celebration of Jim's life with his family and friends.

Hi Ron, reptyle here. In our previous conversation you made a self criticism statement that bothers me a bit. It concerned your fear that there was something that you missed or something that you failed to see earlier. Sadly this is almost universal in family and friends. Take it from me, there was nothing that you did or didn't do.
The vast majority of "New" hep-c cases with hepatic failure had absolutely no prodromal symptoms. The first visible sign of the disease shows up secondary to the livers failure. It's usually jaundice or abdominal distension due to ascites.
I am a retired paramedic and emergency medicine instructor with physicians level courses. I am as trained as you can be in observational medicine and I never saw a thing in Terry until she complained of abdominal discomfort..
You did the best anyone could have! Jim was lucky to have you as a friend and caretaker. Proud of you. It's a hell of a rough way to go. If I can make it there I'd like to get a chance to talk to you and perhaps Layton I saw him last when he was, like 10 years old. I'll look for you. If you'd like to,find me and we can chat.

I would add to M Hikers good overview - The free shuttle serves Yellow Pines but you have to walk out to the road, there is a pick-up spot across the road that is near the start of the Four Mile Trail

If you have bikes that will be the best to get around on the weekend, far better than the shuttle bus.

Bikes are the ticket, bring them.

I'm warning ya, .......bring them!
