I fit that general description...
Lol

Just a background player from the rock monkey generation, paying my respects to greatness.

“Bouldering” with Jim is my second fondest memory of my time in the Valley, surpassed only by the time Harding threw up on my shoes.
The walls are timeless, but the friendships are more precious.

It's all good johntp. Our friends, in whatever manner, respect we knew them.....they were/are still in the memories of our minds. They would want the celebration of life to continue.

Maybe call it a reunion. Include a way to honor the memories of those no longer present, but not make this the central theme. Could be on a recurring basis but not necessarily annually. Could couple the gathering with volunteer work, which gives people a sense of purpose. May might be a nice time. Lovely time in the Valley.
Alternate locations may work, based on location of a volunteer project.

Yeah Laura, if we do a project, may get us access to camping preference. I like the idea of an annual gathering. Bunch of old geezers, we use to have a low key annual gathering of C4 people, but that eventually fizzled out as some were just getting too old to attend, but it was fun as hell.

Bluelens, awesome idea! Let's keep the heat simmering under this and not let the flame go out.

Anyone out there have location or date ideas????? If we can target something I know we can make it happen.

Wonder if we could hook up with the MillCreek gang that honors Alan Bard every 10 years? Several said they had better make it sooner than 10 yers for "obvious" reasons. :)

What John said👍🏽. I was thinking of something in the Valley and going off Laura’s idea of doing work and maybe getting Yeller Pines, but FL could work...just a lot of other crowd there for that. But then again...share the fun. Lynnie, I like the MillCreek idea too, we just need to see what Roger thinks.
Peace
