Kat, I talk to him daily, he's never been like this since I've known him. I've tried to keep the "tribe" up to date, but purposely kept it off social media for respect to Jim and his family. He is very appreciative of the phone calls from all his friends and is thankful for the friendships he has. He needs prayers, karma and good vibes right now.eace

He's eligible for help from social security even if he's not retirement age. Is someone helping him with the paperwork?

He may be eligible for S.S. Disability payments, even if not of retirement age.

Jim's older than me by a few years...definitely retirement age.

Medicare should be filed for, Medical as well.

Don't hesitate...online at "filing for Medicare."

And call Covered California at (800) 300-1506 to file for Mecicaid.

He's worth whatever you can give.

I had the good fortune to buy Jim a beer during the Ice Fest some years back. Was a great time talking with a hero. I hope this helps and he gets well. Cheers again ya'll.

Mike and I will help in any way we can. Thanks for the FundMe link.

At various venues in the past it was our privilege to buy pieces of his old gear. He would then show us in various books pictures of him using that gear BITD. Most of it we passed on to climbers more worthy of it than us.

He’s one of a kind and I always enjoyed seeing him either at the Oakdale events or more frequently in JT.

Our thoughts for his recovery and not having to suffer too much red tape. That a happy camper he would not be. ;)

Ah birdy-bump. ^^^ Hey Don, I was only able to pitch 25 smackaroos, but it helps. Hell, even you commenting keeps it on the front page and probably (hopefully) helps. Cheers, y'all!
