We now know about price, durability, looks, but would some please address which pants provide the most friction when hip scumming. Slippery pants suck.

Has anyone found something comparable to the Chouinard Rock Bottoms? They were great for cold days in JTree; like a tough, functional pair of sweat pants.

I think BD made something similar for a while, but seem to have discontinued that style (assuming I'm not making this up).

Not great, but what I had left over from my stint in the green machine. The wool ones were better, worked well in Gunnison winters.
