hey there, say, MH2... wow, good job!
also, scooter...
really neat!! i love seeing salamanders...
ooops, but, is he one, or not?
i know there are other similar critters... :)
we once had a frog, hop into our house, as, we had a broken bathtub and house wall, at the backside of house... water just drained outside, from bath...
well, there was a FROG living in the run-off :O
we did not realize it...
one night, we came home from being somewhere with my mom... she was visiting us in south texas, and VOILA! THERE HOPPED a frog...
behind the sofa (which was mid-room, and the bathroom door past the hall, behind the sofa...
we could not at first see WHAT had 'hopped' until we went over to look...
wow... pretty color greenish, and his feet kind of stuck to the floor a bit, but he hopped again... :)
we put him back out into his puddle-hold...
did not really get to see him again... but i will never forget...
it was a fun adventure... :)

Here's a great frog photo swiped from a post by Chris Mac. Really small file, it would be great if he posted a bigger original. It's a wonderful photo.
I'll rummage around a see if I can find images I have of Yosemite toads (rare or unknown outside the park?) and, kind of a special organism to have photos of, the Monteverde golden toad which has since gone extinct. Really unfortunate, it was an incredibly beautiful toad in the Costa Rican cloud forest.

Well I thought for sure I would see a pic of our most famous frog in California on this thread. The mountain yellow legged frog is famous in Southern California. Anyone have a photo? Maybe I missed it in the scroll.

Ed posted a good photo on the first page. I've counted hundreds but I'm usually pretty remiss at photography... If you subscribe to pics or it doesn't count then I may not even be a climber.
