So far, I give the win to Ron Gomez. I mean come on, look at the socks, paired with those shorts makes it look like he just stepped out of Jr. High PE class.

Why, thank you! Great times at Corona del Mar bouldering with the crew, late 70's. Leichtfuss, Badyrka, Largo, Graham, Muir, Tapes, Marshall, Vogel and Maria Cranor of course!

Talk about garment malfunction! I spent an inordinate amount of time corralling my scrotum whilst wearing my signature Mark Richards Quiksilver shorts.
Then came the Andy Irons gangster shants which drove me equally crazy.

I'm fully behind your thread topics of late and feel compelled to respond. As a child of the 70's
I have fond memories of the short shorts faze. But, not short shorts on men!! I attended San Diego State in the 70's and vividly remember the "jaw-dropping" impact of watching SDSU coeds prancing around in Dolphin shorts. It just doesn't get any better than that!! I have nothing further to say on the topic.
