Awesome, well done Marty & Tim!
Glad to see there are still some Badgers lurking on the Eastside.
Funny how the Lamarck Col (and many other Sierra Passes) serve as our own personal Rubicon’s.
Cheers,
Rick

In the name of climbing and sun-drenched fun, a few plugs:

1) Peter Croft's updated Good, Great, and Awesome is well worth your time,

as is 2) the new issue of California Climber which features an essay and set of images from the Evolution Basin and Traverse by Jerry Dodrill.
Brutus of Wyde also makes an appearance on the famed Castle Rock Spire.

Much ass is being kicked therein.

I just dug up a few more shots from last summer, hoping to tease out other East Side write-ups for those of us confined to the lower elevations and climes.

A thing that bumps this great trip report, is a good thing,

but as it is a thing, also it comes with a warning of sorts.

Like the idea of the Canary in the coal-mine,

a CLIMBER FROM ..... ? NEW JERSEY . . .

If he were only bolting up my childhood I would not care, In fact that stuff is All Good, more bolting In New Jersey, will lead to more bolts everywhere. . . (so, then this, as proof of that thought too)

He should be told by locals else where, there in smokey paradise,
to keep the power drill & low standards there, in NJ....
But....
((a well, travel'd, with cash + entitled? kinda the thing that left alone, can be most destructive to real climbing. Money no skills & a power drill))
has toe-hold in the divine;
THE June Lake Loop !
ENVIRONS, THAT SO MANY, **have felt to be the steps to the cathedral
**
& so have top roped there for decades. Is now being " developed"

I am not proud to do this "KenR" needs to be properly redressed for his shenanigans,

seriously?, (Cali-world? What hasit come to? Where is the "East-Side Underground? At least Fish callin' in from the Litter Box tried....& Now in the moments that I have taken, Thank You to Guy Keesee" Too !!)
