I've been married to Heidi for 27 years, and she is a stong & intelligent woman.
My ex-wife Jennifer, was from Tennessee & she of course was, another strong & intelligent woman, who dumped me after 6 years of marriage.
She cherished her southern-accent and regional idioms, from her family's rural roots on the TN-KY border.
I was thinking about bluering digging his hole deeper tonight on ST, and thought that he reminds me of Jennifer's younger brother Jay-Peter.
Jay-Peter grew up in Memphis with a MD father & a college-educated mother, & an upper-middle class family. That didn't matter to him, since he wanted to grow up to be a red-neck bigot. He achieved his dream.
His kindly mother once publicly stated, in her broad-southern accent: I know they switched babies on me at the hospital, since no child of mine could be that dumb.
Jennifer, one day summed up Jay-Peter with the statement:
"He's just et up with stupid & cussedness."

I listened to our First Lady's speech today and I was compelled to say something. I refuse to go back on the those other ridiculous threads again, to speak my heart, and have my opinions lost in the rhetoric of hatred and one upmanship which permeates the psyche of so many male egos. It's all shock and awe with them anyway.
So I have fallen on my sword to speak what I believe is the truth. I'll take my lumps and would gladly do it again to advocate for the defense of our fairest of sex, who belong in the halls of power more now than in any other time in human history. Men have had their chance at running things for far too long and look where it has gotten us.
Besides, there is no excuse for the abuse that men like he, whose name I shall not speak, have heaped upon innocent women. They have born us into this world, endured the most pain, and deserve all of our respect. Please understand that I mean no disrespect to the men who have honored and cherished women as equals.

I totally agree. These are real problems to be addressed. I hope that we can put them into a greater context of who is starving, broke, homeless, at war, diseased, enslaved, who languish in injustice and poverty. Its not that I wish to belittle anyones cultural or sexual social objectives. Rather I wish to encourage all to recognize that these problems derive from and flourish in a larger context of narcicism, separation, fear and predatory pluralism. A predatory pluralism that uses these very issues to weaken, dilute, distract, undermine and disempower those who seek to liberate themselves from tyranny....we fight ourselves while the elites and Once-lers of our time turn us into Starbellied Sneeches!
