It's 1921 and you're a coal miner on Blair Mountain in southern West Virginia. You're wearing a red bandana around your neck ("redneck") to differentiate yourself from the hired guns and U.S. government soldiers.
The hired guns and U.S government soldiers are shooting at you and dropping bombs on you, to break up the coal miner's union.

A new study finds that when it comes to prejudice, it doesn’t matter if you are smart or conservative or liberal. Each group has its own specific biases.
Smart, stupid, conservative, liberal... we all feel justified in our bigotry.

moose, if you were actually progeny of the lowest of low white murricans those comments would be funny. as it is, it comes off as derisive, classist and very afraid of the "other" (sorta like my first comment in this thread)

Yup. Just go east into the Jersey Pine Barrens, south to Slower Lower Delaware or eest to Pennsyltucky. Although change the hound dog to pit bulls and you'd find that in Philly or any other major city.
