Steve is the personification of "smooth" both when climbing and socializing. He is the definition of centered.

Steve was in today for assessment. The Occupational Therapist said she probably would not be seeing much of him because of his "high functioning level", the Speech Therapist does have plans for him however. Getting steadily better but still has to search for words sometimes.

A good story that captures his status. Yesterday he thought he had a dentist appointment down near Watsonville (15 miles south of Santa Cruz). He insisted on getting himself there by bus (a couple of transfers, some walking in between). Pulled it off perfectly, but he had the day wrong by a week!

hey there say, mike... wow, thanks for sharing...

let's all at least, so what we can, of course:
keep boosting him, with our prayers...
as he keeps up this good work and progress...

glad he made it back, safe, :)
that was most important...

oh my, as we can even know:
getting wrong dates, can even happen,
with non injured, and non-recovery folks, oh my...

:)

edit:
okay, am sending this other card, here, a bit late, hope
the address still gets it, thank you...

sorry so late, had no stamps, :)

Wow, he's looking good! Never met Steve but he has my best wishes for recovery.

It's sad that my old friend and pioneer American rock climber Dave Rearick has not been able to recover physically, although mentally he remains very sharp. But he is over twenty years older than Steve.

Ed, Zander and I enjoyed a Sunday climbing session with Steve at Pacific Edge.
Mr. Smooth schooled us on the OW crack and Chimney.
We struggled while he cruised!

Good to get the BAWC geezers together again!
