One of the many major things wrong with American health care. Yes, you are wonderful for working a 20 hour shift.

https://www.propublica.org/article/how-many-die-from-medical-mistakes-in-us-hospitals

"In 2010, the Office of Inspector General for Health and Human Services said that bad hospital care contributed to the deaths of 180,000 patients in Medicare alone in a given year.

Now comes a study in the current issue of the Journal of Patient Safety that says the numbers may be much higher — between 210,000 and 440,000 patients each year who go to the hospital for care suffer some type of preventable harm that contributes to their death, the study says.

That would make medical errors the third-leading cause of death in America, behind heart disease, which is the first, and cancer, which is second."

Messrs Dunning and Kruger can read your mind. "Derp" is the translation.

A way to summarize these results is to say that those who are truly stupid are too stupid to realize that they are stupid. As Dunning has put it, slightly less colorfully:

If you're incompetent, you can’t know you’re incompetent.… [T]he skills you need to produce a right answer are exactly the skills you need to recognize what a right answer is.

Fair play from Cuba.

But if you rewind to 1998, the Republican presidential nominee had a very different view of the 42nd president, defending him as the real "victim" in the wake of the fallout of the Monica Lewinsky scandal and blasting the accusers as "terrible" and "unattractive."

He also suggested that Clinton should have kept the scandal -- which he said "should have been nothing -- to himself."

Days after President Clinton admitted to having an inappropriate relationship with former White House intern Monica Lewinsky, Trump said Clinton was a “victim” and critiqued the physical appearances of various women with whom Clinton had been accused of having extramarital relations at different times.

“It’s like it's from hell, it's a terrible group of people,” Trump said in an interview with FOX News' Neil Cavuto on Aug. 19, 1998.

Trump also repeatedly dismissed and at times mocked Bill Clinton's accusers.
In a 2008 interview with CNN, Trump called the Lewinsky scandal "totally unimportant" and said it was "nonsense" that Republicans tried to impeach him.
In another interview, with CNBC in 1998 and first unearthed by the Washington Post, Trump called Clinton accuser Paula Jones "a loser." In August 1998, Trump again dismissed Jones, and said Bill Clinton was actually the victim.
"I don't necessarily agree with his victims," Trump said to Fox News' Neil Cavuto in a clip uncovered earlier in the year by the "Daily Beast." "His victims are terrible. He is, he is really a victim himself. But he put himself in that position."
"These people are just, I don't know, where he met them - where he found them," Trump continued. "But the whole group — it's truly an unattractive cast of characters. Linda Tripp, Lucianne Goldberg, I mean, this woman, I watch her on television. She is so bad. The whole group, Paula Jones, Lewinsky, it's just a really unattractive group. I'm not just talking about physical."

Been there done that
when on chemo the nurse f*#ked up on my dose and I went into anaphylactic shock. Luckily I was IVed so a steroid/Benadryl? could be administered immediately .... not by the same nurse.
-woke up under anethesia (luckily before the big show) but before the breathing tube was put in and I had been given that paralytic drug so I couldn't breathe or move to show my distress. I guess it was only a short time but I recall vividly the breathing tube being stuck in and I felt such relief that I wasn't going to die this time.

Hey Rush, I'm back!

I've been so busy working 20 hour days saving kids and families living in those Reagan Ranches along the Santa Ana Riverbed.
Bringing them food, making sure the kids make it to school.
If they only had jobs.. or some Reagan trickle down.. when is that Trickle down coming???

No actually, I've been working 20 hour days doing the same ol'
8 hours of Air Pollution Science, 8 hours in my backyard succulent nursery, then another 4 hours sorting minerals or seeds for sale.
I can do beer during the those succulent hours.

I like a good sleep, so I get at least 8, sometimes 9
and an hour of reading some good science journal before bed is mandatory!
Life is tough.

I catch this sh#t show now and then

From the N.Y. Times, a very-long list of Trump's lies last night & this for a summary:

This is the second time I’ve summarized a presidential debate by listing Donald Trump’s untruths, and there’s a reason. The country has never had a presidential candidate who lies the way that he does – relentlessly.

Yes, virtually every politician, including Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, Mitt Romney and George W. Bush, strays from the truth at times. To be fair, virtually every human being does. But Trump is fundamentally different.

His gamble is plain enough: He believes he can fool a lot of the American people a lot of the time. He has decided that lying pays.

It's up to the rest of us to show him otherwise.

Try this on for size- The greatest generation, the one that, though imperfect, still managed to arm the allies and give hundreds of thousands of good american lives to defeat the evils of the Nazi's and imperial Japan and then rebuild half the world. Or a generation later when during John Kennedys inauguration he said " Ask not what the country can do for you but what can I do for the country".

Oh, you want to return to the New Deal?

BTW, I know you rightwingers don't care much for accuracy and truth, but here's the quote you mangled:
And so, my fellow Americans: ask not what your country can do for you — ask what you can do for your country.

Don likes pu$$y, so does Hitlery. SO what?

It should be over. Donnie just put Hitlery on trial.

Actually, he promised to put her in jail: something two bit dictators do.

Your racist law and order candidate is anything but law and order.

He thinks innocent black kids accused of rape should be executed, while bragging about his ability to sexualy assault women because he is powerful.

Yet because he is a full blown white nationalist, you and the other breitbart brown shirts love him.

A candidate that promises to put elected officials in jail and expose the mutual admiration society is dangerous and definitely worthy of the elected elite pulling together to defeat such an insurrection.......regardless of how stoopid that candidate might be.

John Kennedys inauguration he said " Ask not what the country can do for you but what can I do for the country".

AND What was this in Reference To!

What you can do; is PAY your Fair Share of Taxes, that's what America wants from You.

He was lowering the top tax margin while closing huge loop holes in the tax code so the Rich would pay their Fair Share.
And in turn, they collected more in tax revenue so they could fund America.

Reagan destroyed that covenant we had with our Country, and sold some on the lie that the Government IS the Problem (sure, it is the problem for the rich and greedy)
and it should be underfunded so the rich can keep more cash, since they were funding the lie

And it's been downhill ever since.
