Escoputa wouldn't have to pay so much in taxes and might save on vaseline expenditures if Donny would just pony up and pay his taxes...Of course Esco and many of the other obtuse republican whiners always end up siding with their captors then try to blame the dems when things don't turn out the way Rush said they would...Boo f*#king hoo..

from the Laffer Center website http://www.laffercenter.com/supply-side-economics/laffer-curve/

However, the Laffer Curve does not say that “all tax cuts pay for themselves” as many people claim. What is true is that tax rate cuts will always lead to more growth, employment, and income for citizens, which are desirable outcomes leading to greater prosperity and opportunity. There is, after all, more to fiscal policy than simply maximizing government revenue.

which seems not to be the case, at least in Kansas,

Anyone can participate in the type of tax advantaged treatment provided to Trump, if you know how to do it and have a vehicle.

There are many beneficiaries of privileged treatment under the tax code, which was built by both Dems and Repubs with the help of hired legals and lobbyists. They reap yuuuuuuuuuuuge benefits.

It seems very unlikely that the code will ever be "fixed".

What's more important is that Trump, through careless mismangement, managed to lose nearly $1 Billion dollars.

Winemaker, maybe it was a Freudian slip but the ladder Curve speaks to the MAXIMUM tax revenue to be collected and you used the term "optimal". I don't find those interchangeable.
Wasn't 'Freudian' because there was no sex involved. Okay, so what's the 'maximum' rate that can be collected? Same question. So the terms aren't interchangeable; you never answer any questions, simply pose others. How about actually answering the question for a change? By the way, it's the 'Laffer' not the 'ladder' curve you grandpa.

No Esco, you're like a tick; you demand attention but you're just a little distraction that needs to be pulled out with pliers. Get real, you're just a stupid troll who wants attention. Show me I'm wrong and actually answer a question tough guy (or gal). You seem incapable of actual discourse; know what that means?

Poor Winemaker. Can't even keep track of his own questions and answers. You've got a lot in common with Trump. You should go into politics.

Late Breaking Random Headline:

On Sunday morning, prominent Donald Trump supporter Roger Stone tweeted, "Wednesday, Hillary Clinton is done. #Wikileaks." However, later on that same day reports started making the rounds that Wikileaks had canceled the planned leak due to "security concerns."

Christie: "What it shows is what an absolute mess the federal tax code is, and that's why Donald Trump is the person best positioned to fix it. There's no one who's showed more genius in their way to move around the tax code."

That's some funny sh!t. I'm sure Trump can't wait to fix a tax code that allows him to pay no income taxes.

divad,

you make the assumption that since Trump knows how to cheat the tax code, it follows that upon coming Prez he will know how to fix it and do it?

But would he do it? It can equally be argued that so far he has been trying every way to gain $$ into his business bank and becoming Prez he would be equal likely to choose the self-serving gain methods from government that Cheney did to enhance his $$.

Likely there is nothing with a Trump win for us except maybe the few ST billionaires that post regularly? Can they trust him? Sure they can!

"Trump's tax plan would definitely be a huge tax cut for him," Batchelder said. from MSNBC

Trump does not know the tax code. He has never read any part of it and could barely comprehend what Mr. Mitnick explained to him.

he would have been tax-free because of a $15,818,562 loss reported on Line 11 of the return under “Rental real estate, royalties, partnerships, S corporations, trusts, etc.” It looks to me that this loss reflects the outrageous, special tax break that real estate developers that people like Trump can get, but that the rest of us can’t.

"The rest of us" can, and have, but it takes a lot of doing.
