Yes Moose! Mike and I were just talking the other day and saying we both want to go out with a laundry list of things we didn't get around to doing. Keep the ole dance card filled till the end.

Although I don't want to go out before I become a grandparent. I'm convinced that will be the VERY BEST!

The time will come, my friends, when entropy has had its way and all you CAN do is reminisce. Then ST becomes a lot of fun.

This year marks my 50th year climbing. A few days ago I did 4 pitches of 5.10, and a little free soloing.
I felt like crap the next day. It's early in the season, but I'm hoping to get my stamina back up to perhaps go on another trip in the Fall.

Looking forward to a future trip with the Grandkids.

The false dialectic is that it is an either/or proposition. It most assuredly is not.

There is no present without a past. Not only do we stand on the shoulders of those who came before, but you can't really understand where you are, without a reference point. That reference is most often history.

You can enjoy and recount a shared past, without disclaiming a present or future.

.... Back to sitting on my butt, except when I get out of the saddle to pass. ;)

I've always sport climbed but nightcrawlers give me the creeps.
So donini sez.

Taking stocked fish with nightcrawlers is child's play.

This boy doesn't know a thing about purbety, but he might think back on this day with shame.

"I could've fished with flies, not worms. My karma suffered because Dad's whole family were bait fishermen."

Go have fun climbing, youngsters. Then when the bell of physical collapse doth toll for thee, come have fun on ST.

having too much fun to worry about this getting old phenomena…

in the past few days:

participated in a successful swift water rescue/cliff rescue of a capsized drift boat crew in a steep canyon

spent a night working with crew fighting a forest fire

participated in swift water rescue training with SAR team

worked as litter attendant down and back up a vertical canyon cliff rescuing an injured fallen man

an evening training with wild land fire trucks and equipment

planting a garden and raising a flock of chickens

Appreciation bump.

The secret to donini's "aging" as it might actually be.

See, the older donini gets the more he grows on you.

Then, when you least expect it, he sucks out all your blood and flies off into the night...sated for now.

Beware, MooseJuice.
