Thank you all for posting photos of Robert. Please keep them coming.

It is very quiet without that booming voice, contagious laughter, kindness, love, knowledge, support, friendship, and everything else that was Robert.

Today would have been our 16th wedding anniversary. Robert never forgot but sadly missed this one by 3 weeks and 4 days! We always did something on our anniversary, either a trip with a good dinner or sometimes just a nice dinner. I wish you would be looking forward to your favorite anniversary meal once more...

I miss you my dear.

Had to wait awhile to write this, but it's such a perfect Robert story in that it shows his true selfless nature (and I think Hilde's also)

I "met" Robert via the old rec.climbing about 20 years ago. A few years later we had still never met in person. I had a business trip to Fort Irwin and wanted to go climbing, but could not fit all my work gear and climbing/camping stuff. Hilde was very sick at the time, but Robert still volunteered to lend me (really a stranger still) a tent, sleeping bag, full rack, and rope, so I could go climbing.

That he (and Hilde) would allow a stranger to come by his house in what had to be a very stressful time and borrow a couple thousand dollars worth of gear for a week shows what good people Robert and Hilde are.

Gonna miss you, my friend.

Happy Anniversary Hilde...I kinda believe that in marriage you are NEVER seperated from your true Love, the spirit will still be present and visit you. My Grandmother told me, that when you are having a memory of a Loved one that has passed, it is their spirit visiting you and you are having that memory to agnolage their presents. Robert's spirit is with you everytime you think of him!
Peace

I remember I once gave Robert a good chunck of grill salmon that Bridwell and I had cooked at the Ranch Site...hope he delivered it to you

Tim aka Troutboy,

I remember that. Did you know that Robert and I "met" through rec.climbing? I was planning my first US trip with my Norwegian climbing partner and posted something asking for information about Joshua Tree......and there he was.

Nice story Tim. Thank you.

Hi Ron,

Yes, Robert did bring me that nice and huge piece of salmon. Thank you!
And thank you for your wonderful words in your last post. Robert will always be with me in my memories.
