Robert was one of the best friends one could have. I just don't want to believe that he is no longer with us. A lot of tears this week. Robert you were the best! I have a lot of great memories of the early years of us learning our craft and the fun we had climbing. Robert was a solid climbing partner and one hell of a good friend. He kicked things up a notch, and made life fun!!

Robert Fonda - Keeper of the high desert, Proud husband, electrician, SAR starter, computer guru, rock guide, proud dirt-bag and true friend WAS the real deal, you nailed it Steve.
Robert had a way of being loyal, kind, sarcastic and sometimes, haha most times, downright belligerent all at the same time. He could tear a strip out of you and then make you laugh with him about it.
Never a dull moment when RLF was around, never!
We spoke a few weeks before his passing, stoic, brave and proud to the end he was.
My deepest condolences to you Hilde and Roberts family and many, many friends.
Say hi to Burke and Blitzo for us.
