*My Mom survived pneumonia and is hanging in there..(-;
* Longer days!!
*A Great time with some of Timid's cousins visiting from Switzerland..
*Plus.. Northern California got a lot of rain, which produced righteous spring wildflowers, full rivers and lakes...Thanks Mother Nature.
**Still getting out there with screw-up knees & one wanky ankle... Hiking sticks & K.T tape.. rules.

Some really cool stuff, thanks for sharing, and let's hear more!

A lung transplant? Dang!

Also, last night my dog Tioga went and said hello to a porcupine. Just said hello, no quills. Literally nose to nose. That's pretty great.

Helped a 50 something year old field worker get a referral for a prosthetic eye through Lion's Club. He had never been evaluated a prosthesis, since he lost his eye around 30 years ago. Financially he qualified, but resources are limited.

I talked to the providing clinic, and they mentioned that they had called him. He picked up his phone while working in the field, and someone helped translate for him. I don't think the timing hurt at all. ;)

Found climbing, errr... I mean climbing found me!
can't believe I waited so long to try it, when it seems it's been on my peripheral for my whole life.

I'm almost embarrassed to say it with the more significant stuff in this thread, but I had a good day at work yesterday, winning a competition within the company and getting funded to build something that will let me do the type of work I like doing.

Wow, all wonderful posts! I like this thread.

I recently found out that one of my nieces is going to go to college pretty close to where I live. This will be the first time in 35 years I will have family closer than a long plane ride away and I am thrilled. Thank goodness, she loves her auntie and uncle too.

Hmm let me think.

Last Friday my son in Germany welcomed a little boy 12 time zones away at home in Hawaii I was surfing 10ft Hawaiian waves all day. That could be a first..

Great news from all! I like good news!

I got home intact from a big Nevada mineral collecting/old mines/ghost towns trip. It was a lot of fun!

Except, on those long drives, I listened to about 6 hours of Fox news, trying to tell me how bad things are in America. Man those peoples are downers.

Something else great is: you don't have to listen to downer crap like that!

My friend posted a FB rant about how he's having trouble breaking up with Obama, how the upcoming election is reminding him about the end of his college days and having to say goodbye to his college girlfriend. It was a hilarious post, and I posted that someone should share this with Obama as it was super funny. Just heard from a friend that she printed the post and my comment out and handed it to Obama last night at a fundraiser. Supposedly the secret service dude handed the printout to Obama, who put it in his pocket, only to look at it later in the night and chuckle. I'm so proud that something my friend and I wrote made Obama laugh!
