Looking forward to meeting you and the other people who will show up! Preparing for this slideshow helped me learn a lot about own inspirations and what I value the most about climbing. Hope I can share it appropriately and hope people are able to gain something positive out of it. :)

I don't like to bump the thread about me, but it is today! If anyone in the area could make it, come say hi and enjoy the bad humor along with my thick Russian accent.
I hope the content will be enjoyable though :)

Thanks for a great presentation Vitaliy!!

The dude climbs way too much to fit it into a 1 hour presentation. I don't know how he also has time to take some great photos.

Got some screen cameos from limpingcrab, Burchey, Donini, a shout out to Banquo and his custom made hammers, and honored Brutus of Wyde and Ben Horne for their inspiration.

Yeah, you should give a slideshow there Jim. If you are ever in the bay area. Really nice group of people. Have to say thanks for inviting me as it allowed me time to see all the outside influences which affected me, see how much I have learned, what attitudes changed etc. We are all part of the same tribe and putting out contributions that are encouraging, will benefit you as an individual in the end. So the reports I post, really are a result of me reading interesting things others have posted. New places, old places, things to see and do. Thanks again! Wish the club was closer so that I could see other speakers, you guys, I believe, is the only alpine club in the Bay Area that has meetings on monthly basis. Don't stop!

That was a great show. Thanks Vitaliy and RIM. I moved back to the North Bay Area after three decades behind a desk in the Sierra Foothills and way too few weekends in the high country thinking I may be taking another step in the wrong direction, but what do I find?... Your talk was inspirational. You could help mentor a whole generation, much like Jim has done. Get out of the guide book, go for the unknown, but take care with you. And yes, Jim, it would be outrageous if you honored this RIM club sometime when you're back in the area.
