Location: Round Table Pizza, 2065 Occidental Road, Santa Rosa
Time & Date: Tuesday, December 1, 2015 @ 7:30 PM (Social hours and free beer for members at 6:30)
Directions: From Highway 101 at Santa Rosa go west on Highway 12 to Stony Point Road Exit. Go straight from the middle lane at the light onto Occidental Road. The Round Table Pizza is on the right just down the road.
Vitaliy Musiyenko started climbing in 2010 and became progressively excited to explore established classics and peaks few have heard of. His passion to hike or climb on all sorts of terrain took Vitaliy to places he could not have imagined as a kid. “By now, I consider this passion a huge part of my life and I am excited to share it with those who are looking to see a sample from the road less traveled”.
Vitaliy will present photos and stories from climbing he has done around the world. He will focus on rarely seen parts of the Sierra Nevada range where, in the last few years, he has climbed over 30 new routes. With these experiences under his belt, Vitaliy will share the challenges of climbing new routes deep in the backcountry, as well as the differences in strategy and style.

Yea, come see the presentation! It is also a chance to throw a punch at me if I have offended you in the forum at some point... :) Happy to meet other Internet personalities and strangers. :) And to show some photos, share snacks etc. Should be fun!

Dear Vitality.
this is going to be incredible, and thanks for doing it. is there ANY way you could do a live-stream (video) or even an audio-stream of the talk? maybe a listen-in telephone number, or even just having someone video the event?
stuck down in LA!

Yinzer, PM sent. Please do not video this. I am gonna blush enough talking to the public. A camera would be over the top.

Man, he's putting us all to shame.
Dude is quickly humbled by all the kids warming up on his projects in the gym, after they been going for two weeks...I do love to climb though, yes. My favorite thing about climbing, is that it is not a competition...as long as people keep the ego in check :)

Looking forward to meeting you and the other people who will show up! Preparing for this slideshow helped me learn a lot about own inspirations and what I value the most about climbing. Hope I can share it appropriately and hope people are able to gain something positive out of it. :)

I don't like to bump the thread about me, but it is today! If anyone in the area could make it, come say hi and enjoy the bad humor along with my thick Russian accent.
I hope the content will be enjoyable though :)

Thanks for a great presentation Vitaliy!!
The dude climbs way too much to fit it into a 1 hour presentation. I don't know how he also has time to take some great photos.
Got some screen cameos from limpingcrab, Burchey, Donini, a shout out to Banquo and his custom made hammers, and honored Brutus of Wyde and Ben Horne for their inspiration.

Yeah, you should give a slideshow there Jim. If you are ever in the bay area. Really nice group of people. Have to say thanks for inviting me as it allowed me time to see all the outside influences which affected me, see how much I have learned, what attitudes changed etc. We are all part of the same tribe and putting out contributions that are encouraging, will benefit you as an individual in the end. So the reports I post, really are a result of me reading interesting things others have posted. New places, old places, things to see and do. Thanks again! Wish the club was closer so that I could see other speakers, you guys, I believe, is the only alpine club in the Bay Area that has meetings on monthly basis. Don't stop!

That was a great show. Thanks Vitaliy and RIM. I moved back to the North Bay Area after three decades behind a desk in the Sierra Foothills and way too few weekends in the high country thinking I may be taking another step in the wrong direction, but what do I find?... Your talk was inspirational. You could help mentor a whole generation, much like Jim has done. Get out of the guide book, go for the unknown, but take care with you. And yes, Jim, it would be outrageous if you honored this RIM club sometime when you're back in the area.
