ISIS looks super scary… until you actually give the slightest bit of thought to history.

So they're just an existential threat? Tell that to the 5000 men and boys
who were executed in Sinjar (sp?) and the thousands of women who were sold
into sexual slavery. Very existential, mon ami.

What is really tragic about all this, over 10-20K Men, Women and Children Shiites and Christians have been slaughtered in the exact same manner by these MOFO's the past 12 months in both Iraq and Syria, and NOT one peep of cries for prayers and sympathy for any of them. Not ONE!

Yeah, my grandkids will be fighting either Neonazis or Islamonazis, depending on which side prevails in Europe.

ISIS are nihilist bastards who deserve what they get.

But Chief's handwringing does not make them an existential threat.

For perspective: on the order of 200,000 Iraqis were killed as a consequence of the misguided Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld invasion.

Before that the sanctions killed 200,000 to 500,000 kids 5 years old or younger.

So Anita... why all of sudden such cries for sympathy?

Where have you been the past 24 months or so when these same doods have slaughtered tens of thousands of innocent humans in Iraq and Syria?

Why all of a sudden all the solace?

Oh, I know. Cause now the shet is hitting closer to home. Got it.

But Chief's handwringing does not make them an existential threat.

Tell that to the 66 Million people of France tonight that are now in a complete State of Military Emergency. The first time since 1944.

i think we should send crankloon as a peace negotiator.

While it's easy to blame bush*, the real cause is our support of the Zionist state of Israel, and our support of corrupt Arab dictators.

*not a fan of any bush, by any stretch of the imagine.

the real cause is the death cult of the child molesting warlord!

And, it's been going on for over a thousand years.

I forgot to add the tens of thousands that have been slaughtered by these ISIS fkers over the past 24 months.

How many more tens of thousands must be slaughtered Spiny, before this becomes an "existential threat".

Oh, my bad, all them tens of thousands of innocent humans that have been slaughtered over the past 24 months do not count. Right Spiny?

Chief: Gee. Balls of steel. Congrats.

Let's start the history lesson by reminding you that the U.S. was DIRECTLY responsible for the coup that installed the Shah of Iran - such a sick, evil despot that the people of that nation ( perfectly justifiably) rose in revolt to overthrow him - a revolt that was hijacked by Khomeni, who promptly murdered thousands of Iranian patriots who mistakenly placed their trust in his non-existent sense of humanity.

George Bush Sr. was quite happy to allow U.S. corporations to sell nerve gas components (and weapons)to Hussein, and didn't utter a word of protest when Sadaam used it on his own people, as well as against Iranians - in direct violation of just about every humanitarian treaty ever written.

This was the same (Vice) Prez who was up to his ears in the Iran-Contra scandal, where weapons were sold to Khomeni to finance Reagan's support of the Contras.

His evil, cowardly, and pathologically stupid son (along with his equally culpable co-defendants) DESTROYED Iraq, and instead of smothering that nation with foreign aid, moved troops in to do ...what? Rebuild the place? Establish a representative government?

The are a lot of people in the Middle East who are royally pissed off with the U.S. these days, and with good reason. Unfortunately, the sickest, most evil of these end up joining ISIS, and as I have previously mentioned, they are more than happy to murder countless innocent Muslims (as well as Westerners) to advance their evil agenda.

Some problems don't have solutions, but I stand by these and earlier remarks about the contributions of the Bush family to this ongoing nightmare.

Taking heed of Jim Brennan's notes on statistical information and anita's insights, how many on this thread have gotten rocks off [pun] so far.

If you're shy, PM Mr. Brennan who will accumulate the numbers for us.

I will state that I have not.

Again statistically, how many of the attackers have been identified so far?

Is any organization or gang actually claiming responsibility?

I'm coming [pun] up with nulls.
