Trump thinks the bathroom laws should be left up to the States, because we all know the States have been historically known for being good defenders of civil liberties.

That's a good thing. This way, instead of tyranny of PC BS reigning over the country with nowhere to go, one can chose a state with laws of their liking.

I believe the states that would force businesses to allow cross-gender use of bathrooms should be legally liable and pay millions in damages (though such things can not be compensated in money) for any crimes committed by predators who'll put on women's clothing to gain opportunity to attack or harass women in the restrooms. There're already plenty of such cases.

The fallback position of moral cowards everywhere. You'll note he doesn't "think" that he retreated to it after he caught sh#t for his original position.

The left just wants to see little kids attacked in the bathrooms.... will make their day "triumph of human rights"...

because in their eyes, human rights are only to be had by certain classes of people

Transgender? The real transgender people will not be distinguishable from gender of their choice and won't raise any questions about bathroom use---they can also easily get documents with their desired gender stamped. The rest are just making sick choices, sorry, and should be fully responsible for them.

What's stopping them from doing that now?

The haters always appeal to fear to rationalize discriminating against people who are different. Always. Always.

A totally rational and reasoned viewpoint that everyone should get really excited about.

While there're some legitimate transgender people out there, most of so called "transgender" in the US are just deluded, psychotic people who believe they are what they're not. They really should hold back and not make their personal issues a public matter.

If you familiarize yourself with the legal aspects of the process, you can see that almost anyone can get a "gender change" medical treatment, at least in the looney state of California. Most of those who "go through" are completely dependent on hormones and surgeries to maintain any semblance to desired gender, living artificial life, and return to their natural state, aka what they're born (not what they want to be), once hormones had stopped. (medical fraud lib doctors prescribe hormones absolutely without regard to long term safety and should be criminally liable for this).

And allowing bathroom use based on person's statement (and not legal documentation) is absolutely insane and opening doors for "Buffalo Bill abducted/filmed a child" cases.

Splitter, you have no idea WTF you are spewing.

"The financial position of the United States includes assets of at least $269.6 trillion (1576% of GDP) and debts of $145.8 trillion (852% of GDP) to produce a net worth of at least $123.8 trillion (723% of GDP) [a] as of Q1 2014."

We are far from bankrupt.

I'm sure it will be better with more regulation.

Because manufacturing problems that then get solved by more government intervention is the American way of life anymore.

Oh yeah? And you're basing this on what, exactly? Your personal experience as a trans psychopath?

We all know that the real fix here is a large influx of generalizations, binary thinking and platitudes.

What's it say about anyone being able to go into the bathroom of their choosing?

One glaring problem with the Charlotte ordinance (that started this mess) was the only criteria for being transgender was an individual's say so. Most of the objections were about predators being given a green light to enter any women's restroom or locker room, not with transgender people.

Looks like decades of LSD use by hippie generation are coming to roost...

Some folks also think they're 'genderf*#k', 'genderqueer', 'gender neutral', etc ... well, it's their choice. Don't make it public bathrooms issue. Tomorrow they might decide they're something else, there's really no limit for spoiled kids who want to protest something because of family issues. Main thing is to have a big nanny government that will protect everyone's crazy whim.

When people's only source of knowledge is cut and paste from Wikipedia, its no wonder there's a dearth of educated voters.

If the US government had to report the current value of their assets similar to the legal requirement of how the evil corporations are mandated to report the value of their assets, you would recognize that the country is, in fact, on the brink of 'insolvency'.

But no matter, I'm sure the government will fix it. They've done such a bang up job so far.

EDIT: Exchanged the word bankruptcy with insolvency. Language is important.

That's exactly right. It's their choice. That's the first thing you've said so far that makes any sense. Turns out our insistence that there are three types of genders (male, female and shunned) is antiquated and wrong. 20 years from now nobody will give a sh#t.

Trump allegedly used to make phone calls to reporters impersonating his own PR agent to spread positive rumors about himself including that Madonna wanted to date him.

Ahahahahahahhahaahusidhsauhdoiusahdsanhdsa

The voice is instantly familiar; the tone, confident, even cocky; the cadence, distinctly Trumpian. The man on the phone vigorously defending Donald Trump says he’s a media spokesman named John Miller, but then he says, “I’m sort of new here,” and “I’m somebody that he knows and I think somebody that he trusts and likes” and even “I’m going to do this a little, part-time, and then, yeah, go on with my life.”

A recording obtained by The Washington Post captures what New York reporters and editors who covered Trump’s early career experienced in the 1970s, ’80s and ’90s: calls from Trump’s Manhattan office that resulted in conversations with “John Miller” or “John Barron” — public-relations men who sound precisely like Trump himself — who indeed are Trump, masquerading as an unusually helpful and boastful advocate for himself, according to the journalists and several of Trump’s top aides.

In 1991, Sue Carswell, a reporter at People magazine, called Trump’s office seeking an interview with the developer. She had just been assigned to cover the soap opera surrounding the end of Trump’s 12-year marriage to Ivana, his budding relationship with the model Marla Maples and his rumored affairs with any number of celebrities who regularly appeared on the gossip pages of the New York newspapers.

Within five minutes, Carswell got a return call from Trump’s publicist, a man named John Miller, who immediately jumped into a startlingly frank and detailed explanation of why Trump dumped Maples for the Italian model Carla Bruni. “He really didn’t want to make a commitment,” Miller said. “He’s coming out of a marriage, and he’s starting to do tremendously well financially.”

There are tapes of it! You can listen to them!!! This is amaaaaaaazing.
