Donald's base of support isn't traditional or tea party Repubs. More "Regan Democrats" than anything. The more politically astute see right thru him.

Don't underestimate how much support he'll get from the black community either.

The only candidate celebrated in rap lyrics.

They don't have to recover the server nor even the bulk of its data. We're talking emails here and there are electronic footprints of them (the emails ) on servers all over the world. Just because she had the server wiped by someone who actually knew how to wipe it, doesn't mean those emails are gone.

Like I said way long ago, the NSA has it all.

Ha, the same Reagan Democrats that this map shows
Eisenhower 1952
Yes

WHEN THE SOUTHERN RACISTS WERE DEMOCRATS
Now we call them the Tea Party, and they are spreading the hate

TGT does just not understand simple history I guess
He just refuses to face the fact that the Dems used to be the Right Wingers, and then they changed.
Why? because he wants to blame racism and slavery on Liberals, the very opposite of what happened, Lincoln and Teddy were Liberals, Not Conservatives.
The Conservatives fought to keep slavery, to stop women from voting, to stop vacation time, a 40 hour week blah blah

Trump reminds me of your typical fascist dictator, he spews hate, gets the brown shirts to jump on the band wagon, then they go around like thugs bashing in the heads of the blame group (illegals) and we fall under militaristic regime of Right Wing Nationalism (kind of like Hitler)

Mr E, Ted has taken up bridge.

After the video posted above, I am thinking "TRUMP/COULTER" would be better entertainment anyway...

her wiping
mb, you're claiming you have knowledge that Hillary Clinton personally did the "wiping" of her e-mail server, or ordered a subordinate to do it. Please provide evidence. Absent that, I'll see you over on the Hillary thread and try to keep this one focused on The Donald.

Norton, concise and accurate, as usual.

Conjecture.

No conjecture there. The wiping of the server and the withholding of evidence are proven fact. The only issue is whether what was withheld had any importance. If Nixon had erased his tapes, a Nixon supporter could have said the same thing about Watergate.

Neither has Hillary "survived" any particular scrutiny. Her sychophants in the media have hidden her troubles at every opportunity, including that afforded by Trump's antics. Her manipulation and "sanitizing" of data repsonsive to inquiries dates back at least to the time the missing Rose Law Firm billing records turned up in her office. Her manipulation of, and restrictions on, the press are already apparent.

I'm not saying any of this "smoke" disqualifies her, but her opponents will make that smoke look like it's coming from something much bigger than the Rough or Rim Fires, and her obfuscation, stonewalling and diversion won't make them go away when she's the nominee. Dispelling the "conjectures" about her actions will require that she demonstrate a tranparency to which, to date, she has proven incapable.

But all of that is merely my conjecture. The events will play out soon enough. In the meantime, her supporters will enjoy Trump's outrages just as much as Republicans will disdain them.

good conjecture John, can't disagree with anything you said

except that, are not the 35% who support Trump right now also "Republicans"?

that group does not appear to be disdaining Trump?

John, would you agree that Trump really does stand the best chance of being the Repub nominee and if not who do you then see?

Norton, I do not think Trump has the best chance of being the Republican nominee, unless more people like you choose to vote in Republican primaries. Kris Solem outlines the reasons why about 100 posts ago.

Ben Carson comes the closest to my views, but I don't see how someone who never held elective office qualifies for President unless he or she ran a governmental operation the size of, say, D-Day. I like John Kasich the best, although the Tea Partiers will probably doom his candidacy. I like Marco Rubio, too, except for his extreme pandering on the abortion issue, but his views have no chance of becoming law and, after all, no one is perfect. If Jeb Bush had a different last name, he would be a good choice, too, but that last name makes him a poor choice now.

Kasich is intriguing, though waaaaay too moderate, and not nearly EXTREME enough for the GOP Establishment.

He should go Third Party, and get something started for America.

TGT will have no problem with that.

Taxpayer dollars spent on programs he doesn't like = BAD

Millions of taxpayer dollars for the purposes of Republican Obstructionism = GOOD

See how that works?

since this thread is about Donald, he picks up another endorsement

To no one’s surprise, America’s most popular neo-Nazi website, the Daily Stormer, has officially announced its support for Donald Trump in the 2016 presidential election. Predictably, the endorsement praised the numerous racist statements in Trump’s announcement video, especially his “willingness to call [Mexicans] out as criminal rapists, murderers, and drug dealers.”

The typical xenophobic right-wing jargon about China and Mexico “stealing our jobs” also features prominently in the endorsement, as Trump has emphasized this theme heavily. In reality, of course, immigrants have lower rates of crime and drug-use than native-born whites and any “job-stealing” at the hands of China, Mexico, or elsewhere is merely the result of the free-market capitalist competition that conservatives supposedly support.
