It's tried and true - a bit over-used too. The gnome knows no bounds
the video is silly - an April Fools day share -
But if you pay attention till the very end, it shows my families penchant for going blue,
Ho so blue! It's hard to belive that I had no thing to do

"No. My back hurts. Get the dog to do it."

Hey man !

And hey man, in that 1st picture they are all wearing gnome chapeau !
Well played a safe at third
Or is that home plate?

Ya know it's the end of gloom and frosty times, around here.
At last the storms rolled in at the end of March, abs and back sure took it well
but my shoulders! Oh man, I'm not sure where the muscles went? But they seem to have left the joint.

I'm fat and soft, my toes hate climbing shoes, I've been going to a Planet Fitness gym,
another week or two I hope will do?

It's a scary thing I've had buff shoulders since wrestling 40yrs ago.
I've had one side re-built allready, the Doc, however was not sure how to advise me.

When I asked, or said hey I tried to throw a ball and can't -what gives?
He said "Just don't do that."

Hardest this time of year,
it is still a right of spring bring out the ole' glove and 'pill'
For an ever increasingly hard game of catch,

I really never thought about it, till I couldn't do it any more.
the sweet feel of a hard thrown ball slapping into a closing mitt.
I miss it !
And I feel I've failed my son, not playing pitch and catch with him.

He hated T-ball at 5, and now is geeking over cool artificial intelligence, programming
writing code for robots, he has left me in his dust on that.

the last few years it has been toy Lego, plastic block made 'bots'
Next year he joins his big sister in the full size ones.

Oh the goyle ? Her robot team won a chance to go to nationals,

I have a big anniversary this year , but the celabration has been canceled .
The Wife and Spurt are going to the stupid Arch in St. Louis !
Where they hold the Robotics event. They used to do it at the Epcot Center, but it was to big a distraction from watching paint dry, I mean high school robotics 'action'.

The teams are getting comp tickets, a hot dog and a soda, free at a Cardinals game,
It's a good deal.
they are playing the Reds I think ?
I'd rather watch it from home anyway, I nod off around the end of the third inning and return to consciousness by the beging of the 8th.
That's baseball love and beer right there.

Uses Troll dolls to wipe with.

Thinks he's Ty Cobb, too. Really mean when he wants to be mean. Really sweet when he wants to be.

Yeah .

Then I've been re-listening to "Now you're feelin' like Bush's whore"

A brothers angst! In deed and daring do

Thnx to your mum & dad for your family's sacrifice, and to your brother -

Hahoo-Rhah! ( Semper Fi )

Tad that is a great song.
Tad, you are holding out on us.
You should shelve tthe glass spoon pipe,
get a cheap bubbler, double down & write an anti trump song!
I really like that long range sound like a -hall-way of a subway- sound, not a whole echo.

Ah yes Re-verd and Delay. . . I'd felt I'd got it wrong at 1st thnx A Tad to far. . .
I also listened to Dragon Fly & ? Pushing on? I think that was it.

She's a bit hard on the ears and, more so to me, on the eyes
No chin is a sign of . . . . But more to the point. . .
Where is this video shot ? Some sort of rock going on!
Texas? Big Bend?

Hi Gnome,
Loved the Gnome video. LOL

Congratulations for your daughter's win and going to Nationals! That is super! Wow! Sorry it conflicts with the planned celebration, and I hope it all works out well. I am impressed with the robotics Nationals, totally. I have worked as a judge for Destination Imagination, and the competition among the teams and kids is tough but really great to see all those excellent young minds doing superb projects. I hope you will have some photos to share when they get back from the Arch. Maybe they will have time to go across the river and tour Cahokia, a huge archaeological complex. If they are interested.

And, yes, not being able to have a game of catch would be tough. I imagine you two guys will find other amazing and interesting things to do, even beyond Legos.

Thank you for the update on your family. Nice to hear about everyone.

Mouse, wonderful photos of the Alpine guides. Thank you for sharing them. The troll, not so much.

Oh, and for the music, too.
Tad's. Good words, true stuff.
Masekela, had not heard him in years.
Of course I had not heard Tad at all. Nice.

Glad things are going well these days. Carry on. :)
And keep on having entirely too much fun.

Bobby Woodward

One time,
Down in ol' Alajabama,
I met Bobby Woodward,
In between the sweltering sweat,
And listened to him talk about how the government lies.

'Course,
He knew about all that,
Kind of invented it,
Uncovered it,
Really,
And the country's never been the same,
Since.

The stories he wrote were true,
And they tried to shut him up,
He should have put his hands up like Nixon,
"I Am Not A Crook!"

After the presentation I,
Shook his hand,
And said,
"Nice to meet you, Mr. Woodward."

He smiled a smile,
That was vacant for a while,
Reminding me of someone who had,
Clearly lost hope in everything,
But self expression.

I thought about it later,
And,
Came to the conclusion that,
Self expression,
Might really be,
The only freedom,
I truly have.

But Mouse,
The government cannot lie. Government is just a concept, an institution. It is the people in government (and it seems to attract them) who lie, steal, cheat and generally betray our trust in them. We are losing our innocence that we have the benevolence of government and I imagine it will get more pronounced during the next few years. Not because of the current president, but because of all the leaks and gradual exposure of just how bad the corruption of people in government really is.

Enough on that.

Ran into one of my young climbing friends yesterday, who has some of my old gear. He is now all grown up and has three children, including a set of twin girls who are just beginning, at 5 years old, to go to the climbing gym with their dad. I am invited to come watch and coach them after I am off crutches. 25F here this morning. Winter is departing reluctantly. Stay warm. Keep healing too.

I'm well-healed but not well-heeled.
I used to dig wells but had little regard for Welles (besides being fat he was overweight).
Nixon was the one who got caught in a big lie, first of many.

I once thought it might be cool to pen a version of Nixon's lies called Watergate Down; but the title was just too synthetic and the writing that I did on it was filled with way too much fluff and not enough of substance, so I gave up on it and went shopping instead.

And look what I found!
