Bushman, Obviously we re all left wordless by your virtuoso word-smithing performance.
Bravo!

I am listening to Hadyn's Creation, doing yoga, just stopped in to say hello. I gotta keep working out, or I am not going to be able to even walk in the Winds this autumn. Yikes!

Mouse, I hope you are enjoying great helpings of frivolity, delicious foods, and lots of loving company.
Tad, I hope your knee is better.
Cosmic, I hope you are getting things straightened out and are having less pain.
Gnome, thank you for your posts.
Where is zB?
DMT, appreciating all your image all over the taco, thank you.
But where is zB and please toss a log on the fire, you guys, after Bushman's tree is properly consumed. Thank you for that Bushman. Hope you are feeling fine. Great words for the fire. :)

The Butterfly Effect of Gravity. Seriously.
(A "Five-Minute Poem")

Give me a minute and I'll tell you about butterfly wings.
They have four of them and they fly with them.
They get lift and thrust using them to flit, flutter, flop and fly.
The residual effect, a throwaway some might say, is the air movement in the opposite direction from which the lepidopteran is a-heading.
Persephone's prophet knows not the result of his exertions, only that he is able to help himself to nectar.
He won't know or care that a small island off the east coast of Mexico has been devastated by a tropic storm whose intensity was magnified by his use of propulsion.
But it is a natural pfenomenon, so he's not really responsible for the extinction of another species of butterfly which was, admittedly, not too pretty to look at in the first place.
So, the way we measure this effect is thus:
an array of highly technical sensors lined up across the globe, costing BILLIONS AND BILLIONS, but generally agreed by the scientific community to be of substantial use for the travel, shipping, and weather forecasting industries.
--Cocoon from Cancun

Musgaard or bust.

That was a good listen, hooblie.
That was an unalloyed mouseterpiece, Bushman.

Hideaway

I shot a picture of a small frog in a small puddle made by a tire in a ditch yesterday.
Until I came along, he was the Big Kahuna of his little world.
I had to wait him out once he'd jumped on my approach.
I communed, meantime, with a dove.
And I put myself in the bottom of the ditch to do it, marveling at what no one ever sees as they whiz by at 60 on the road in their timed rushes.
I could not see over the barley growing along the bank in the large field fed by the ditch.
The frog had started when I approached, his flight beckoned me and I could not resist.
Besides, the sun was hot, there was the illusion of shade for me.
When froggy came to the surface, he sat still, head out, eye open and looking, I presume, at me, the GIANT.
Since their first days on water-not-quite-land frogs have probably acted in the same way, stillness their defense.
Lungs are nice.
The spring air was, too.
Occasional bursts of diesel wafted over the ditch; a bug flew by, laughing at the frog; and the effect of the wings of the dove may never be known.
--bitch from the ditch

Hi Brian,

Happy to hear you are OK. I called Fresno and said “no, you are not there”. Same happened when I was at PA a year ago, when Gloria called they said “Oh! he went home”. I was in surgery when she finally did get someone else: the wrong room. "He is here but we can’t find him". Doctor called her 5 hours later said he is doing fine and had a 30% chance of surviving it.

Good old VA at its finest. I will e-mail you.

^^^sez World Tripper...

Frankly, I enjoyed "les vacances."
Once I got where I was headed, I spent a lot of time contemplating the ridgeline to the east of there (here) and getting oriented to the proper directions of the compass, which are not easy to realize when looking at a map (of here).
I did not go anywhere but in my mind, but in my mind I went here, so there. I had a terrific row with Decker the other night (felt good, cathartic, got the juices flowing and me thinking). I set out the apology gift, a nice head of buffalo, and we agreed to be bothers again, he the truth, I the imagination.
Odd pairings have dominated things both here and there. Here and there are the first of these odd pairings.
I'll get to them.

Lynnie, sweetie, explain what "life" means.

"...could you give your friends a life update?"

We'll all benefit.

What's to update? It's day whatever of so many that I will have lived by tomorrow. Only I'm here and not there, or there or not here, one of which is relevant, but not necessary to know.
